    Try this
    Sky rf out 1 - tri link rf in
    Scart from zgemma - scart (in) on trilink
    Scart out on tri link - tv1
    Rf 2out on tri link - sky eye (on tv2).
    Ir sensor to front of both sky and zgemma receivers
    Dc in - power supply
    Make sure skybox frequency is different to tri link frequency and then do an analogue scan on your second tv.
    Hopefully you'll pick up two channels now.

    I always use this with no problem and user name = root / password = dreambox but this does not work with this image. I have also put username = robijay / password = FTP and still no joy. I am connected through ethernet and network is running fine but must be doing something wrong even though i use flash fxp a lot for transfering to my boxes. Any help would be great thanks.

    Try:
    user = root
    Password = robijay

    It all comes down to compromise at the end of the day.
    If it is superior sd quality picture your after, persevere with the Truman.
    There're some great backup images available on here( look in the sh4 section) which have been tailored to run as somoothly as possible with enigma2, but if it's reliability you want, running enigma 2 (sacrificing some sd picture quality), go for a mips receiver.
    Of the two mips receivers you've mentioned, the solo se v2 would be the better as it has a plugable tuner module (future proofing to some degree).
    That said, I have a Zero and it is rock solid (runs openvix) but then again, I don't run kodi as my broadband is very limited.
    It's all down to your needs and only you can answer that.

    According to them the latency problem still exists but from their blurb, they have employed "measures" to counteract this,

    All internet connections suffer from some latency and because a satellite connection requires the signal to travel from the ground to the satellite and back again, this imposes a "satellite latency" of approximately half a second. However, we employ a variety of means to mitigate the effects of this delay, so it does not adversely affect normal use of the Broadband Everywhere connection. The only exception is online gaming which satellite broadband is not suitable for.

    What these measures are, I don't know.
    I too have shite speeds and was looking into this as an alternative to my superfast 1.5-2mb connection (on a good day).
    I'd be interested to hear opinions from anyone who is currently on satellite broadband and how they rate it.

    A few things before you get off on the wrong foot.
    Please have a read of the rules:

    Images are the firmware, operating system for the receivers ,basically all of the images do the same thing just the look and style of them can be slightly different.

    there is additional expense after buying a Linux in paying servers

    The only additional expense should be a legitimate subscription to a package.

    Ive tried all the bootloader and vix 4 image on various sticks

    Where are you getting this image from as there is an image called Vix4 but may not be the right image for your receiver.
    If you have a Maxdigital xp1000, the latest correct Openvix image for it is here:

    As far as I recall, I flashed an image first (openvix hades ,think it was 010), then i flashed the old bootloader.
    It worked for me but you may have a different issue.

    Press menu on remote and navigate into plugins.
    Down the bottom of the screen you should see an option to "Download plugins" , normally by pressing the green button.
    Then navigate down to "drivers" and press "ok"
    Scroll down the list till you come across "dvb-usb-turbo" and press ok.
    This will install the driver for your vu turbo tuner.
    Probably need to restart enigma2/gui/reboot at this stage and your tuner should then show up in your "tuner configuration" section
