Sorry, I don't live in a cable region (don't have any experience of tuning it in)
This thread may be helpfull though:

jokosat, I've removed the link.
The reason : Openvix don't officially support this receiver.
As master G has pointed out in the previous post, they are a patched image initially created for the maxdigital xp1000/ octagon sf8.
As World Of Satellite are site sponsors and also the home of Openvix, it would be disrespectful to have a link, directing site users to a patched version of their firmware.
All openvix officially supported receivers can be found here (or click on the "image/firmware" tab on the top of the page and scroll down to openvix):

Have you it set up for the right system (dvb-c for cable or dvb-t2 for terrestrial)
Should be able to change the system by pressing
Menu-setup-service searching - tuner configuration,
Select your turbo tuner and press arrow across to toggle between dvb-c or dvb-t2 -
You could try xorion bootlogo matik:

This may work for you :
Quotecd /opt
cd simplebuild
./simplebuild menu- - - Updated - - -
A good tutorial here on how to update oscam using simplebuild (refer to section 2):

Two things,
1) Vix doesn't officially support the amiko alien so the image you have has been patched/modified to run on it.
2) No support is given to those using payservers (Rule 2)
Full set of rules can be viewed here:

Openpli doesn't accept ipk commands.
A good tutorial here on how to install them using dcc:

What image are you using?

Install CCcam/cccam info.
Insert your line into cccam.cfg and start cccam on your receiver.
Then look in servers section in cccam info.
It should give you an idea -
C lines go in cccamd.list (normally user/keys)
Not all CCcam servers support the use of mgcamd though, it depends on what version they use.. CCcam 2.0.11 & below is fine.

This is how I've it configured on 4d (openpli3)
I'd imagine the procedure is pretty much the same for atv (although not 100%)
Menu-parental control.
Enable parental control=yes
Protect services=yes
Parental control type= blacklist
Then edit your services lists/bouquet lists to suit -
Just tried it on a tm nano se m2 running 4d (openpli 3)
I don't have a solo to test it with.
You could try doing a full scan or update your bouquets before trying to download your epg.
This is how I have it configured (writing to an external sandisk cruizer blade 8gb usb)- - - Updated - - -
Can you confirm that you can receive the frequency/transponder that is used for the EPG data. If you cannot, you will always have problems using OpenTV EPG data and possibly some other channels.
Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Signal/Sat Finder
Change values to what is in picture.

Try a free to air channel to see if it works (rule out emu problem)

Upload speed may also be an issue
-
What image and receiver are you using?
Have you enough space left on your external drive/usb? -
Click on the little tv icon, far right from the channel you want to stream (there should be two tv icons beside each other for each channel, one is for normal stream and one for transcoded stream)
Probably best to use the transcoded one if your upload speed isn't great (this is the only one that will work outside your network due to it being on port 8002, which you have opened. In order to get the other one to work, you'll probably have to open port 8001 also)
One more piece of advice, I'd set authentication on your streams (you don't want anyone accessing them only the intended person) and also setup/change your receivers/webif default passwords etc. -
Works fine here (firefox on windows desktop)

Updating the firmware is the same as flashing an image.
I find openvix a very stable image for one of these.
You can get the latest image here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/view.php?pg=openvix
Click "downloads" then select "golden interstar" and choose your model. -
Very good, thread closed.

Don't own a duo but hdd acoustic mode normally means that you can reduce the noise of the hdd by running it slower (which reduces the vibration but also reduces performance to some degree)
There are normally a couple of options to set it at (not sure what options present themselves on your duo though)
This is normally touted as a power saving setting aswell.
