I think it's in the "customise" menu, set this to "expert", normally set to "intermediate" (although it may show in intermediate though)
Your then looking for "show picons in channel list"
The picons should show in the info bar already although you need to have them installed in a folder called "picon"
This folder should then be placed in either the root of a connected (and mounted) usb/hdd or in the internal flash of the receiver located at usr/share/enigma2 (although installing them in flash normally isn't recommended as it uses valuable internal space which may be better served for additional plugins but the duo2 has ample flash at 1gb so that shouldn't be an issue)

If your looking for long term support, you have to consider the established brands.
You will pay more for these but in my opinion, is an investment well justified.
Vu still support the duo which was first released in 2010.
A new model from a well established brand will pay dividends in the long term (in regard to support) compaired to a new arrival with a relative initial small consumer base (unless it is ground breaking and the only one that comes to mind in recent times is the wetek but it doesn't fufill your criteria)
Have a look in the nightly builds section on the navbar to see which brands are supported by which image teams and you'll see the vu range are widely supported.

The golden interstar xspeed lx1 is about the cheapest enigma2 linux receiver from our sponsor at the moment.
http://www.world-of-satellite.…olden-Interstar-Xpeed-LX1
Its virtually the same as the lx2 only a single tuner model.
Although there are no buttons on the front panel, they are located just behind it (you push the panel in and it drops down)
The front usb , ci slot and card reader are located behind this panel also. (out of sight)
The lx 2 used to come configured as a combo receiver also (one dvb-s/s2 and one dvb-c/t/t2 tuner) if terrestrial is a must.
I haven't seen it in a while on our sponsors site though but a pm to them will answer this for you.QuoteSchematics and layout as a pdf.
You'll probably only get these from the receiver manufacturer -
Army nextgen gradient also works (maybe others ) but if you have x picons installed, they will not show full size in info bar (didn't for me using oktus x picons 28.2).
A nice addition to see picons in channel list though. -
Have never dealt with key files I'm afraid.

You might be better off just flashing an image of choice and forgetting about the factory default image (normally the default image is very limited)
Factory default images can be found here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1081Backup images are here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/forumdisplay.php?f=605Copying the content of the box may not work, there may be a facility in the stock image to perform a full backup (not sure though, but this feature is available in most if not all aftermarket images though)
Master g's backup image is configured mainly for satellite (dvb-s/s2 tuners, astra 28.2 uk primarily)
Your have stated that your receiver has cable tuners (dvb-c) so in effect, this backup may not be suitible for your needs. If it is astra 28.2 satellite you wish to receive, you will have to add a satellite tuner to your duo2 (if you don't have already one installed) or if you have no need for cable tuners, exchange the receiver for one with satellite tuners on board.
The tutorial you linked to is spot on. -

Might be better off to create your own lists (pretty easy really, just takes time)
All you'll need is a dump of a blind or network scan from the receiver in question and open it using the appropriate channel editor.
You can then move / delete / organise your lists into favourite groups.
Here is a good tutorial to do it (although for a 120, the principal is the same)Quote
Here is another tutorial on how to dump a channel list from the receiver (the gui looks different but again the principal is the same)Quote
And how to load a list from usbQuoteChannel editor for 102e can be found here:
QuoteAnd for the 203:
QuoteDo not use the editor for the 102e on a 203 list and vice versa as it could end up with "ASH" error.

0644 should do it.

Channel list for ariva 150 combo only.
28.2 satellite list (no terestrial)
Favourites:
1 Free to air
2 Sports
3 Movies
4 Documentaries
5 Kids
6 Entertainment
7 MusicWork in progress.
Please highlight any omissions
Also, backup existing lists/settings before loading this one (for fear of the worst) -
Don't know much about dreamboxes but try a restart and then have a look in your plugins.

This should sort it out for you:

Do you use this disk for timeshift?
What size is it?
Try format it to ext 3 or 4 (It may delete all data on disk though) -
Haven't gotten around to it yet i'm afraid.
Will get it sorted this week. -
Depends on the image but cccam.cfg file normally goes in the etc folder.
QuoteWould be great if someone could advise before I purchase or advise why I shouldn't purchase.
Have a look at this receiver:
http://www.world-of-satellite.…-Enigma-2-HD-Receiver-PVRMore or less the same spec and in or around the same price but vix available for this (as well as open-atv).
