I use blackhole or vix but images are a matter of personal taste really.
I would suggest you try downloading some backup images and see what grabs you.
I do find vix is a very easy/quick image to set up from scratch though.
All zero images can be found here:

You can add another tuner into the gigablue , turning it into a twin.
The medi@link is a great little box from what i've read, but if your only interested in a single tuner receiver, the vu+ zero is a cracking little machine.QuoteI'd go for the vu zero over the solo (its cpu is x2 faster with double the ram and flash of the solo) if its a single tuner your after.

Here's the new patch, don't have a channel list for that model i'm afraid though.

Never used openmips before, Is it the stock image?
I'd recommend you try openvix, it can be found here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/view.php?pg=openvix
And how to flash your receiver along with various other tutorials can be found here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/forumdisplay.php?f=326Also, vix has some cams on their feeds now, cccam may be there (as far as i'm aware, open to correction)
QuoteFrom Zeus build 020 onwards ( online now ), to remove compatibility issues softcams will be built for the image and included in the feeds once more, a few are there now and more will follow.

Filezilla or any ftp program will connect to your receiver through your wireless lan.
Enter in your gigablue's ip address (192.168.x.x) into the login details on filezilla, along with your username (normally root) and password (password depends on image, most are dreambox, some don't have any)
Then , just open your receivers temp folder on filezilla's interface and drag the linuxsat addons ipk into it.
It should now be copied on your receiver, ready to install.
Go into your receiver menu (using your remote) and look for the heading "manually install ipk packages / local extension" or something similar (try addons menu).
Select on the linuxsat addons ipk and job done.
The addons panel should show up in your plugins menu now (after reboot)Oops, stevejo got there first.

Its possible alright but the first step is:
You need to know which receiver the card is used in (been paired to) as a hd receiver card cannot share any premium content (sports/movies) or hd for that matter.
An sd paired card is what your looking for to be able to share. -
Thanks for the heads up but i'd hope any members here wouldn't be foolish enough to use these payservers or any for that matter.
Gonna close this now. -
Thanks for informing us, i'll close this.

Pay server = someone that charges you money for connection to their server (giving c lines / n lines / gifts, in return for cash)
Subscription means signing up to an official provider. The official receiver is normally fitted with a subscription card.
It's this card that will make your solo2 able to receive the channels you desire and/or get the channels you require through "sharing"
Have a read here, it will explain the basic principals of sharing in more detail:
http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=90
Ask on this forum though before you sign up to any packages as not all are shareable. -
Oh yes, solo2 can be used as a server.
What card do you have in mind? -
Glad to hear it, i'll close this so.

This thread has now run its course.

Post up all your configs (## out any sensitive stuff)
Maybe someone will spot something. -
Have a look at your log on the server, i'll tell you whats happening.
Doubt it's the image on the reciever. -
Have you any shares?
Are you sure its coming from your local and not shares in your duo2/server? -
If its running in dm500, there shouldn't be a problem with it in a vu zero
Sbox, oscam, cccam will all run on it. -
Vu zero is a nice little receiver.
Which card are you thinking about as not all will work in 3rd party receivers. -
Monkified has verified that the peer in question didn't originate from this site, so i'm gonna close this thread now.
