your card is from a Amstrad so it should be compatible with their latest firmware but you still don't have the 5 channels

this has happened to every card whether paired with a thompson or *** hd or ***hd+.......5 hd channels have been paired with the new pairing system....
it will be interesting to see what happens next...........card will only clear them 5hd channels in its own box....it is the END....it will eventually go like foxtell in australia
they have all sd and hd blocked this 2 yrs and more......
in a Thompson box its say this is the wrong card for this box ring sly so thay don't clear in there own box -

thay carnt pair the Thompson box so that's why the 5 channels have gone.any box that has not registered have lost the channels too.so sly have just disabled them channels on any box that thay have not got on there system.

my box is amstrad DRX890C but the card has never ever been in from day one and lost the 5 channels in hd but sd ones of same channels are still fine.
I bet if you put the card back in the box thay will open again.but then the card will be paird.even if you put the card back in a Thompson box the channels still don't open. -

its not only those with thomson boxes thats lost the 5 HD channels
what other boxes? and have thay be registed with sly? if not thay will be off till you put them back in the box.then I bet thay come back on.but then your card will be paird to box.so win win for them. -
could be that thay have just turnd them channels of for Thompson boxes thay did say if you don't upgrade you could lose some hd channels.and that whats happened.

To clarify I called Sly because I was missing additional HD channels other than those listed as being lost, It appeared there was an issue with my account because I was receiving no signal on certain channels, Dave HD and Watch HD through my thompson box, there is also a message that constaly appears on screen for me to contact ***. It would look extremely odd if I didnt contact them despite this message and the issue with the other channels.
*** straight away wanted to issue me a callout to exchange my box, but I have now put a hold on that through because I told them I wanted 50% discount for 12 months for the hassle. They didnt like that so put a hold on my box exchange.
So I have got my head in order, I have responded to their on screen message which has now cleared, I have stopped them sending me a new box and I even got a small discount off my HD subs for the issue with the missing HD channels.
As for the future, who knows, but ill happily keep SD and the free HD channels for now.
think am just going to pair my cards to sd boxes now before thay all go.and every one starts at it. -
I am afraid its yourself and your mate wadey that are infact the muppets here///since april 2012 it was made public that all paired channels were going through a new change so all you pair have done is fall into the trap by calling sly...hahaha
Get your heads in order....new pairing method means channels that are paired will stop clearing....*** can switch off any paired channel they wish via 3rd party equipment...you would have to be arrogant to think otherwise.

Whatever you do dont bother calling Sly!!!!
I just rang them about the channels I was getting No signal for, I also mentioned the other 5 channels that didnt work.
There Technical department dont have a clue, when I gave him my boxversion number he was shocked as he hadnt seen one of those for months.
They then tried a few technical things and got me to reboot my box.
Well guess what, I now have no HD channels, all channels are saying wrong card.
He tried to get them back but alas no such luck.
He then tried selling me a new box saying mine was too old and out of date! I told him I was being offered a Free box last week, so now Im waiting for a call back to clarify.
i did this yestaday a waited for a signal that never came and this morning for a signal that never came even held back button in like he said but all my hd channels still work fine apart from the 5 -
after 45 days you carnt get your money back from paypal so them who have sold them will be buzzing not crying

my old sd box works fine and the Thompson boxes dose too.if you are watching a Thompson box and not doing cs you are going to ring up to see why its not working arnt you.

right I put card back in proper sly box and on them channels it says this is the wrong card for this box.so I go on live chat and say only these channels are not working after about 40 mins of we have sent a signal to your box still nothing.it can take up to 4 houres she said.rubbish I said to her when I have done It in the past its been instent.think thay don't know whats going off them selfs in the call centers

every one just chill.no one knows nothing yet.5 channels gone.could be anything.yes it does sound like how it went with sly IT.but all sd still work on sly IT.and I posted I link on here about it that we had to wait for enigma 3.dont know how true it is but you never know.

no thay just let you do it theres nothing on there web site that say don't buy a Thompson box
