Been looking around for a later version of oscam which has ssl, libusb, webif and
pcsd
Currently running oscam-svn8917-i686-pc-linux-webif-ssl-pcsc-libusb-Distribution.tar
but all versions Ive seen in oscam download centre are incomplete.
Anyone got a link?

Box not booting after doing a software update in a vix image. The led on the box just turns blue immediately when powered up.
Tried to reflash using different images using usb but again the led goes straight to blue so Im guessing it isn't looking at the usb port.
So my problem is I need nfi files of an image and/or bootloader to flash using serial cable
(I reflashed bootloader using usb but since it isn't looking it didn't work).
Ive looked around but not able to download anything yet. Anyone know where I can get the nfi images to use with serial cable

Ive just put this into server using crontab -e
The info in the file says a message will be sent to my email account when it executes
How can I check/ change my email address for this I dont remember giving it when installing debian

I have been trying to use the oscam scripts but these just check if oscam is running
I want to do a hard reboot every day using cron I also get a problem when omnikey just stops reading card which has happened about 2 times in the
past month
Oscam-1.20-unstable_svn-r8357 is very new - Are you saying the unstable versions are better than the stable ones?

I have oscam-1.20-unstable_svn-r8357 running on a AMD64 PC server OK but not been able to get it to reboot everyday using cron or check to see if oscam is running OK.
I think its because the oscam files are not in the same same place as those in the scripts and have to be changed but not sure how to do this
oscam is in /emu/oscam and oscam files are in /usr/local/etc/
Also can anybody tell me whether its better to run an old (Stable?) oscam or use an newer unstable one? Or to put it another way why use an unstable one at all if its going to cause problems?

If you are setting up a linux server, why not just use oscam, it works great and you can still use it with cccam clients

I think you can ftp to the box even if it doesnt have a hard disk cos the ip address is in the image (like in the dm500s which doesnt have sata or usb and uses an enigma 1 image)
The hard disk is mount as a device onto the image for recording and timeshift etc and you can also use it store more plugins and bouquets because the amout of ram in the duo is limited

I think the issue is with the mount point, the mount points are as follows:

NFS: /media/hdd

Each mount has a red cross above the drive thumbnail. Also when I select mount management I get the following settings:

Local Share name VUDUO
Mount type NFS share

Mount options RW,nolock,tcp

I think my problem lies with these settings, when I try to add a username and password, it allows me to do so, but doesn't save the settings and reverts back to the above. I have now flashed with blackhole, and all works fine, including FTP.

If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be grateful as I prefer VIX.

Following this post I find this a bit confusing. The mount manager on the duo is to mount devices like hard disks but ftp is used to communicate to duo from a pc/mac - so they are not really related
The info shows that your hard disk at ip address 192 etc is not mounted, but why call it VUDUO and is the server share name /media/hdd on the pc/mac?
Anyway You said you could connect to the duo but only in temp folder so it looks like a ftp setup problem. I use flashxp (v 4.0.0 which allows SSH logins and more)

Peeps on many forums agrre that the commando image is best
I tried v14.6 but found that the epg on 14.5 updated easier and was less trouble to set up
I finally got the regional setting for BBC/ITV and was well pleased with the result
so great work guys!!!!
Now Ive just noticed something strange
a channel (Crime Investigation and maybe some others) wont clear - but crime +1 does
I cant get it even though I did a complete scan with fast scan turned off and it shows up in the epg
I did a manual scan at the right swettings frequency 11603, 27500, fec 2/3 V) but although it should clear I get nothing on screen
If I reflash with my gemini image I get all channels as normal (The box has an alps tuner)
Anyone else have this problem?
