    In reference to the above does apes anyone no why my box freezes when Dl sgtflipflop, and on the image I'm using is there a quick way of skipping from entertainment to films or sport, thanks

    Unless you want to read up on using telnet to connect to your receiver, channel editors, ftp tools and the like, then I might suggest you try another image, as you probably need to get your hands a bit more dirty considering you are getting these issues and the image is quite old. Maybe try mckee25's VTi backup
    http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…-full-backup-mckee25.html

    you know how to flash an image by now and assume you know how to add your nline/cline - so maybe the above is the easy option, although I still recommend you get your hands dirty. You have got this far, now maybe try reading up on things, and it all falls in to place in the end!

    Have you installed an updated list? The backup is getting on a bit now and you could do with updating to the latest sgtflipflop list, you can do this with TSpanel. SgtFlipFlop settings are based on Border regions from what I recall. If it is just a few channels you want to move to your lists then you might as well do it direct on the receiver. Instead of pressing down and blue button to go to your bouquets, press down and green button to go to Satellites, then select 28.2e service (as apposed to provider or new) then this brings up all of the scanned channels. You can then find the regional variations of most channels by name - when the one you want is highlighted then press menu on your remote and select 'add service to bouquet' - then select the one you want to send it to.

    Some channels such as Channel 4 and Channel 5 are harder to find the region as it is not in the name. You can go to websites such as kingsofsat

    Code
    http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php

    to locate the details of the region you want. Match this to the channel on the reciever. You can do this by switching to the channel, select menu, information, then service (might be slightly different on BH image) and you should then get access to the info such as service, PID, Multiplex etc.

    Once you have the channels you want in the bouquets you want, then go into the bouquets by pressing down arrow and blue button - select the bouquet. Delete the regional variations you don't want - while highlighted, press menu button and remove entry. Then press menu and enable move mode, select the new additions you have just sent to the bouquets, which will be at the bottom, and they will turn red, then move them to where you want. You can come out of move mode by pressing menu and disabling move mode, or just backing out of the bouquets completely.

    You could use an editor like dreamboxedit, but for a small amount of channels, the above would be easy enough.

    a test line - hmm - 24 hour test line? I don't think I will help because with a bit of luck you won't get it working, and after the 24 hours you will ditch your idea of subscribing to a scumbag payserver:taxman:

    Code
    [newcamd]
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    port = 10000@096C:000000;10001@0b00:000000
    keepalive = 1

    Above is what was suggested - so under your [newcamd] part of oscam.conf - delete the one you are using, as it would only allow one card to be used, and replace it with the one above - so long as you are following what master G has suggested then I don't see you will have a problem.

    have you ensured that CCcam is activated?
    menu - setup - softcam/ci - softcam manager - green to start - yellow to restart - blue to enable start at boot.

    take it you are using nline

    format in cccam as should be entered following the following format

    N: HOST(DNS/IP) port user paswword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    cline format

    C: HOST(DNS/IP) port user paswword

    once i press menu - setup- service searching there is no bouquetsmaker option

    you need to update the image first as it is a new feature introduced after i made the backup. I did mention this in the first part of my last post. Without doing the backup you can use autobouquets plugin in the plugins menu to do similar.

    rather than using the sgtflipflop settings - if you are using the vix backup - run an update to get the latest vix first -
    Menu button - Setup - Software update - choose to upgrade and reboot system - then once rebooted; menu button - Setup - Service searching - AutoBouquetsMaker - Providers - change sly UK to yes, choose your region/HD - press green to save, then select Start scan.

    which image did you install in the end? on plugins menu go to tspanel - select addons - linuxsat-support addons - scroll down to channel lists and instatt sgtflipflop 28.2e. If it is the VIX image - rather than doing this, go to setup - software update - update the image, then once that is done you will be able to use the new autobouqets facility.

    Again on TSpanel you might need an update scroll down to updates to update to the latest TSpanel. In TSpanel, Cams can be found in Addons - linuxsat support addons - {cams -your image} then you can install mgcamd or CCcam (choose 2.1.3 or above)

    Just to add re you setting up your nline - again referring to rules I think we need to draw a line on the help you have already received here on getting your cam and nline working - but bear in mind that there is info on the forum about how to do this in line with peer to peer card sharing, you just need to do a bit more reading.

    yep if it did come from WOS it 100 percent will be an original, and should be under guarantee - have a word with the person who resold it on to you first. Does this person buy and sell with 'gift'? If so maybe he could just swap it and save you the bother. I am interested to know who the person you sourced this receiver from is....

    considering it is possibly a tuner problem and is under warranty you could contact your supplier. Was it a reputable supplier and are you certain it isn't a clone? If your supplier also provided you with the 'subscription' then i doubt they would honour the warranty, and probably is a clone:sheep:

    Very true but in using HDMI CEC i found that it lost focus on sleep and failed to regain on resume. It may be different depending on the brand of TV but this is my experience with the LG Simplink.

    Please explain the benefits of this. I have mine restarting at boot in the way I described, and it is one line and I have not encountered any problems at all.

    As per the tutorial, the package is already installed, it just needs a symbolic link created.

    e.g. Wheezy image also needs to have USBLib compiled and installed if Oscam is to be compiled to that SmartGo cardreader is to be used..

    Code
    wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/files/libusb-1.0/libusb-1.0.9/libusb-1.0.9.tar.bz2
    tar xjvf libusb-1.0.9.tar.bz2
    cd libusb-1.0.9
    ./configure
    make
    sudo make install

    Vix is a good image - there are some backup images of allsorts out there that will enable you to just plug in a sly sub card and it is ready to go.

    http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…-duo-backup-musogeek.html

    above is a backup image that I did a couple of months ago - just run a vix update after flashing, and you will get the new autobouquets feature.

    you do need a usb stick to flash the image, you need to make sure it is formatted in windows fat or fat32, and the image needs to be unpacked and the vuplus folder is the root folder. You use the front USB port to flash the image.

    I wouldn't worry about opening it even if it is still under warranty so long as you would have some idea - reasoning is that it houses a hard drive so it is expected that they would be opened.

    Reflashing an image is as easy as putting in a USB stick but you would then need to configure and download stuff to get all your channels working again.
