May be that the plugins have not installed properly - Ensure you are restarting your GUI straight after installing the plugins. You can check the plugins have installed by checking the plugins folder - use FTP client - can be found in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions - As far as I am aware there is a VLC plugin in the Addons manager - not sure because I haven't got BH image installed, but there is one on ViX image called vlcplayer

If you allow unstable updates ViX now backs up your settings - so if there are issues then at least you won't lose anything - probably best still to do an image backup before - incase there is a problem during the settings backup. Recently I have had issues with the unstable updates which have put my receiver on a loop, so I tend not to update when it is flashing red, and wait for the green light! If you miss a stable update (if the green light turns to red) then you can always download the latest stable update, do a backup using the backup manager, and after flashing the stable image, perform a restore.

    Not Sure Admin,
We will need STAPI SDK to deal with all STAPI devices no Linux DVB API compliant.

    Spark will die soon...

Think this post was quoted from the Spark team, not from personal view or experience.

Why such a negative post for which is only your second post!? maybe you should post an introduction here introductions before posting anything else.

Clone or original? Have you tried flashing it with the latest bootloader and starting again? Have you tried turning it off for a few seconds at the back then on again, ensuring that no devices or network is connected to it?

how mennys people can u get off 1 card with out card overloading thanks

The fact of the matter is most of us won't know by experience because most people would share peer to peer, rather than host one card with many solely reliant on it.

hmm - thought you might be blocking out services or have entries missing in ecmwhitelist - not the case.

Have you got an updated channel list? is boxnation blanked out on your channel list or white, (trying to rule out a reception issue before looking at cam/card issue)

Your entitlements should be ok because it works in a sly box.

Next step is to post the output from oscam webinterface as you are trying to watch boxnation

If you are running Oscam as a cardreader and CCcam server then there is also the possibility that CCcam is reading your card, and oscam isn't working at all or at least not as a cardreader.

Depends what you mean by protect your server. I am not convinced that using VPS service is protecting anything, I would rather my info be a few feet away from me than stored in the cloud hundreds of miles away, and besides, how do we know how secure this is, and in joining a VPS you would have to provide personal details.

The key points to remember are firstly to change your ports and passwords to ones that are not default. Ensure your server/receiver are password protected with a password that only you are aware of. Port 12000 is the default port for a CCcam server, so change this to something else. Ensure you have the firewall activated on your router, and when you are configuring the port forwarding on your router, only open the server listen port, and no other.

You need to ensure you are checking all your peers to make sure they are secure. You can ping their ports to make sure they only have the server port open, and if they have other ports open that relate to http, ftp, CCcam etc, you can then ensure that they are not using default passwords. If you do find a peer's security has flaws, then don't share with them, and tell them what you have found.

If you are overly concerned about security, then don't cardshare at all.

To answer the groups questioin - this is down to choice and practicality, and is one of the better functions in oscam. Some people will put each reader in a separate group to allow more control over who gets what when the user accounts are set up. A basic was of setting it up is place each local card in separate groups, and bunch all reader accounts you get from peers in the same group, but a dfferent group to any of the cards.

There are a number of settings in loadbalancer that you can amend to try to tweak things, and using the webinterface you can click the hyperlinks to get advice from the oscam wiki for each function. The problem you are experiencing may well be because you are not utilising oscam.services

have a read of the above threads to get some idea.

What you can do is block off cards from peers if they only have them on hop 2 where you have another peer with the same card on hop 1 - this will mean when loadbalancer is finding the fastest reader, it should ignore cards on a hop further down than need be.

Bit confused as to what you are trying to achieve here. Please try to be a bit more clear. The reader on box 1 doesn't correspond to the user on box 2 and vice versa, not sure whether you have newcamd set up on your oscam.conf, not sure if your nline is internal or external - and where does CCcam.cfg come in to it, are you even using it or just using Oscam? Do you have your own local card, are you trying to use an nline or cline on 2 receivers?

Need more info and clear info before we can help.

when you are on the ViX epg (after pressing the epg button) press menu on your remote, then the EPG setup menu appears - and you amend settings for 'show bouquet on launch' - I set this to yes so I can choose the bouquet before launch - if this is what you mean.

don't beleive everything you are told. That is way off the mark unless you wanted 500 plus peers! I have less than 1meg up and less than 5 down. Only problem I get is if I am uploading files to the net - but your connection is much better than most.
