agreed, probably better to invest in home automation, timers on curtains and lights for example.

In addition to Banny's comments I am closing the thread because you clearly haven't read the forum rules - please read the rules before posting anything else.

It would be interesting to know more information about this case because it is a bit vague, but it does sound similar to a case a couple of years ago where receivers were being sold with 'gifts'. There are a lot of people cropping up who are trying to get things set up for 'friends and family' - and I think that these people especially should be taking note of this, as if you are sharing one sly sub to a number of people, you could be seen in the same light, regardless if you are selling the receiver or not. The figures here are £10,000 - which is a small amount for sly to be concerned with, so the chances are, this was probably discovered by the authorities by chance rather than after an investigation. I think this does highlight that even those who are not profiting from sharing could still be seen as the cause of a loss by the provider, perhaps if they can argue that those who the service was shared with would otherwise have subscribed legitimately.

can I suggest disabling each of your peers one by one on your user and reader accounts to see if you can rule out this being caused by a peer. I have had this issue before, and again not sure what exactly caused it, but I came to the conclusion as g_p_t did that it is probably peer related.

Just want to point out...
Quotemate u dont ftp the extra url lol. You open extra url and type the box ip address and click send or something like that.
you can ftp the extra.url file. The extraurl uploader is just a java app that does this for you, but if you have changed your password or username from the default, then you have to send the extra.url file to /etc manually (ftp) and chmod to 755

quotes I found from a UK site with Q&A about homeplugs...
QuoteQ. Can homeplugs be used on different ring mains in a house?
A. Yes its standard for a domestic home to have various ring mains, one power & lighting circuit for each floor and well as cooker circuits, outdoor plug and buildings etc, as long as all these come of the same consumer/fuse box the homeplug signal can happily cross this for each floor the same as your power does.QuoteQ. Can the signal be used by houses around me?
A. The meter acts as a natural block to the signal and should not leak past this. Homeplugs will also not cross phases and generally the phases are swapped on houses up the street to balance the load.
If your are in shared accommodation then it would be advised to use the security setting on the plugs to block others joining, this is done by pressing the nmk/security/pair button on the first plug and then within minute pressing it on the other, this will lock them together and not allow others to join, if you add more plugs do the same again to add further units. -

1) no as it uses your ring main, not the street ( dumpest question ever seen)
seamouse- A question is something one asks if one does not know the answer already. All questions are legitimate, and your comment amounts to flaming. You have asked many questions. People who know the answers have helped you. Did we ever call your questions dumb?

smargos work fine with CCcam - you only need Oscam if you are using Omnikeys or with certain cards, so I can't say for sure - although there are one or two channels on sly UK for example that might be an issue with CCcam, most would live with this.

think i found the bug
its the log file, when full it cant be written too???
i just disabled log, restarted oscam after setting user and now oscam does come back, have to reboot pc?
stranger?
rebooted pc, oscam reboots, ok, both are ON, yet in files they have no edits for that?
well one thing is you got the au set so you might have more success. You should be able to edit the log file settings in oscam.conf or same settings via the webinterface. -
it is odd that the file seems not to be updating - you should just be able to add 'au = onimkey1' to the account entry in oscam.user and save this. Try editing the oscam.user file using an editor rather than doing it in webinterface. ftp your server and change it this way then reboot oscam. If it isn't saving then it could be a privilige issue -is it allowing any other changes you make?

sorry - yes all HD receivers can handle 3D, it is the TV that does the work arranging the side by side images, Not sure if it has any detection and 3D GUI, but you can overcome this by winking, (you will know what i mean if/when you come across it!)
I think it can decode AAC - but not 100% on this one!
-
set up the PI so that it uses only 16mb for graphics (can do this on the latest updates) - or the minimum you can on the version you have installed. Also - make sure you are using a good quality SD card - SanDisk Ultra for example - Use preferably a class 10 that has very fast read/write. As I said, watch for heat, I reckon this could handle 50 peers, although for definite I know it can handle 20 so long as it doesn't melt!
****Remember - we are not condoning cardsharing - this site is for infomation purposes only****

from oscam wiki;
Codeau = [label of reader] # sending EMMs to specified reader (security issue: clients can see SC data!) au = 1 # auto AU is sending EMMs to all readers (security issue: clients can see SC data!)seamouse your user account hasn't got AU enabled - if you don't add
AU = 1
or
AU = {label of reader}to your account entry in oscam.user (that connects the Oscam to CCcam), then you might find that your card isn't updating, as you are not asking it to update.

there is a windows tool called win32diskimager-binary (also used to put the stock image on sd before installing on the pi) with this you can put the sd card in your PC , back up the image file to the computer using the reverse process to when you flashed the .img to the SD card, and to restore, just flash the image back to the SD and put in the PI

What do you mean "Get your Chanel lists sorted out"? So your referring/suggesting I should create my favorite list/deleting channels etc? Then backup?:) ... Or must i add something to the machine?
yes - scan for your channels and arrange them how you want then back up.Don't need to be a linux guru for an enigma receiver - although it does help = that is what we are here for, to help when you are stuck and for all the info on here! I am not a linux guru by any means! - I just use the info that is already there and learn along the way.
as far as I know - radio doesn't work if you patch your box so you would probably want to patch your box and lose the radio - no it doesn't mean music video channels, just radio.
