  • Vhannibal Motor settings 27.03.13

    I tried to load this channel setting on Solo2 both with DEC and BH 2.0.5 addons-Online Feeds settings update without any Joy. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong. It just shows blank list with odd time on the bottom of the list.

    I have noticed it too. Volume level is very low. I have connected it to my home cinema and have to keep Messing with the volume level on both Solo2 and home Cinema to get it to right level. I have also found that if wake Solo2 from standby the volume start with Zero until I reboot the solo2. I haven't found a solution yet. I'm going to flash it to BH 2.0.5 tomorrow and hopefully of will resolve the issue.

    I've already removed it from enigma2 and there is no longer a list in enigma2. I uploaded new CatseyeE2 13.07.13 and thought it would have up-to-date list. I'm going to flash Ten Bellow's OpenVix image tomorrow and reload the Catseye2 and check again. If still didn't work then will update satellite.Xml. Thanks for your time and help.

    I have to managed to lock on almost all the SD channels but still can't get a lock on HD channels on 4.8E.


    Can anyone think of anything I'm missing out? I've done fine tuning to get the maximum SNR 59% but when I try HD channels SNR is 0% and error shows "Tuner failed".

  • Help: VU+ Solo2 OpenVIX-3.0.683 UK Ready Backup By Ten Below

    I'm running Vix latest image but want to try this OpenVix backup image by Ten Bellow. Can some one please reply to couple of questions before I try.


    Does this image is an extensions to the Vix image or instead of Vix image?


    After flashing with this backup image, Will I be able to upload my backup settings from Vix image or I will have to set up again?


    Do I flash this Backup image like Vix image via USB?


    Sorry if these are a bit bit stupid question.

    This will make your E2 box default back to the master satellites.xml file in the tuxbox folder.. This issue arises when a channel list is loaded, it places a satellites.xml file for that particular list in the e2 folder. Once there is a satellites.xml file present in the e2 folder, It becomes the default & If that list did not contain all the satellites you require for your box, then you will have whole satellites & transponders not available to tuners..


    Tried this fix but still no luck. I also changed satellite.xml from 4.8 to 4.9E in the etc\tutbox still can't get lock on 4.8E.


    Anyone with any other suggestion please?

    Just Checked satellite.xml and its says the position of 4.8E as below. Does this mean that this is correct position if so why can't I get this sat on both USALS and diseqc 1.2 motor set up?

    How do I check this satellite.XML as my channels are not Greyed out but it doesn't lock on 4.8E and should it say? It was fine on my other box.


    My Box is Solo2 on latest Vix image with latest Catseye IPK settings.

    Sorry I'm new to this and this is my first experience with Linux.
    Can someone please help me? I’m setting up new Vu+ SOLO2 and seem to get stuck on the part where I downloaded Cateye E2 dates 28/06/13 Send it FTP via DEC and re-started SOLO2 but it just comes on OpenVIX Image (all your needs at World of Satellite (this message may be because sponsor flashed Vix image for me). Message on SOLO2 box displays panel says “FROM BOUQET” Even if I restart the box it always comes up with this screen.

    I can’t see channels lists/EPG etc.
    I’m not sure if it’s downloaded properly or thers is problem with my tuner set up. My tuners are set as below


    Tuner A (LNB1): BCM 7356 DVB-S2 NIM(Internal) (DVBS2) - On Motor USALS and in advance configuration mode.
    I have scanned the Satellite from 19.2E to 30W and Scanned Satfinder to lock the satellites (I pressed exit on remote control as I could not see any option to save it). I did not set up positioner set up as I don’t think as I’m using USALS. I have not now store Sat Positions as I can’t see it under USALS Setting. However I have selected the option of DiSEqC mode = 1.2 (I’m not sure if it could cause any problems with USALS)
    Tuner B : 7356 DVB-S2 NIM(Internal) (DVBS2) is set up to simple Mode: Simple and it is attached directly to fixed dish on 28.2E. Send DiSEqC = yes
    I have setup CrossEPG and RytekEPG but nothing is showing when I press EPG on Remote. It just showing: Astra/Eurobird (28.2 East).

    I can’t see any options to change the SAT or get to Favourite channels etc.

    I'm just setting up SOLO2 for the first time, it has the latest Vix images installed already.


    Shall I upload this latest channel list as I've got no experience with Linux boxes and don't want to get stuck on first hurdle. Or do you recommend a different (safer option) channel list?


    Reason I'm asking is that just seen some problems with Vix image on this thread.

    Thank you mate for quick reply, I will get it started tomorrow. I've **Y card, but at the moment will be on the mercy of few work mates to let me share some of their stuff. That will be at expense of buying lot of lunches ( I'm not sure if I can say this without breaking any rules).
