i was lucky enough to have tested 9e with an early samsung 65inch ultra HD _

65" nice...mines was on a 42" lol with my box set at capacity1080i but still a difference. Sound was massively improved on my surround!
I bet *** will charge £20 a month for 4 ultra channels lol when its launched..on that note has anyone checked if the new slyhd boxes have 1080p options..i would assume yes or it will be in a software upgrade at some point.
Also have not checked in a while as it was months ago i watched the 4 screen tests on 10 east/bot left etc but have you found any new frequencys for this recently rikjaard?

Just to add there are no tv providers who offer 1080p broadcasts so its down to what you want and how much you want to pay.
That's correct however slyuk are testing the new ultrahd which will be in 1080p format.. they tested it again just a few weeks ago on a 150" samsung tv while watching a premiership match.
I tested the ultra hd on 10 east when it was located their for testing and it looked very good..4 split screens mind you but even with my tv you could see a difference but the sound quality was what i really noticed tbh.

Still does not explain that manually when I FTP into the folders updated files are there but wont initialise. I have even turned box off manually from power supply but new settings dont appear.

No m8 I originally got the dvb c tuner to record mainstream fta tv to free up the other 2 dvb s tuners but as I learned how to get the cable channels I just wondered how far I could go with it.
I knew cable package wasn't available off my server I just didn't understand how the cable side worked encryption wise.

The cable side works on a completely different encryption that sly does if thats what you are wondering!...sly uses NDS and the uk cable network and all other nagra encryptions use Kudelski for their security.

Just to be clear, im using CCam and a cline from a Satellite server, would I be able to use the same Ccam to decrypt the new Cable channels if so what would I need to do as most of the cable channels I found are encrypted and black.

The server you are connected to must have the nagra 3 encryption(card on server) you are after..so it must have virgin caid 1841 if you are in teeside..
If channels are black then it would seem this package is not available on this particular server...did you not look into this before you purchased your rollsroyce receiver with catv tuners?
Put your line in cccam.info and see what caids are available mate.

Depends what protocol is being used at server end...i,m assuming a friend has sent you a connection to view encrypted channels yes?were you sent a cline/nline or cws line?

I think its still the same procedure with tivo boxes to access the engineer menu but not 100% on that..the only virmin tivo box i have encountered was one that i dismantled to make use of the 1tb hdd for a friend... naughty boy that i am:)

Which official virmin box do you have there? Get into the engineer menu and check what your netid and frequency is..usually holding up and down arrows(on box)NOT REMOTE! while powering the box up will take you there..then use the left and right arrows (front panel) to navigate and find this info for your area.
Ftp the file i have attached to share/tuxbox on your duo2 and reboot your receiver// when the receiver has booted back up and if you are not presented with the screen to add netid and frequency info then ftp the file to var/etc
Reboot and try again.

Have you entered the cables.xml file? you need to make sure you are also scanning the correct netid and frequency mate.

This is a tool that has the ability to format your usb devices to fat32 properly so that you can flash vu+ boxes and of course many more without corruption! I have read in the past people have had difficulties flashing receivers via usb so hopefully this software should do the trick!
I have also included (teracopy) which is used to copy files across to your usb devices..of course this particular software is not at all necessary as it is mostly used for transferring much larger files but i prefer to use it myself with windows based computers no matter what i am shifting across!

Anyone got a idea what else I can try?
I've compared DB edit settings to ones on another computer which had only ever loaded channels onto a dream box 500s and they are all the same.
Does your web interface port on the box match what you have selected in your channel editor software? also try latest dreambox edit if you have not already done so.
Also remember e1 lists go to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/ which should be selected on your software of choice

Dm500c so i assume virgin or upc ireland? you should have found the box password earlier and made a backup image and/or config backup from at least one of the boxes but i suppose hindsight is a great thing.
Anyway dont matter as i am not entirely sure what help you are wanting here mate because if you have deleted all server details from both boxes then you will have to contact your payserver// or friend to retreive these details ! Little warning tho if you are using payservers is that it is well documented on here that no support will be given on the site if you yourself use payservers!!

For me Panasonic viera,s are the best televisions you can buy..Panasonic has been the most consistent over many years..10 to 15 years ago i would have advised/panasonic/sony/jvc or toshiba but these days i would buy Panasonic.In saying that i also have an LG 42inch lcd/led tele i bought from macro for £300 quid a couple of years ago and its been fine!
Buy a smart tv too..dont buy a plasma as basically the screen deteriorates every time you switch the thing on.
I would also advise you buy from either john lewis or costco//whoever is doing the best deal at the time as you will also receive a 5 year no quibble warranty included with the tele!
