    To update.

The same file took 50 minutes via esata and has just taken 40 minutes via wireless FTP.

I can't believe that it is quicker over wireless FTP?!

From experience I know if I used a wired connection and did 2 simultaneous FTP transfers I would get 11/12 MiB/s, which would make it more than twice as fast to transfer by FTP.

    I can't fathom...

I couldn't find another thread on this.

With help I have been able to start to move files from my HDD to an external USB. The problem is that it is painfully slow - it's just taken an hour (well 57mins) to transfer a 13GB file and that's a looooong was short of the theoretical speed for USB 2.0. I bet I could beat that with a LAN transfer.

I'm currently trying to move the same file over ESATA and it looks like it will transfer only a few minutes quicker - looks like it might get it down to 50 mins.

Is this a known issue, or am I doing something wrong?

Is anyone getting closer to what they would expect?

    Hi

Just to report back. Telnet works well, doesn't like spaces in the movie titles, but I quickly renamed them using Filezilla.

It has just taken an absolute age to move a 14gb movie onto a pendrive, but I suspect that is the speed of the pendrive.

I am just testing again with a portable HDD to see if it is quicker.

    One remaining question:

I have installed enhanced movie centre, so I now get a move option. But it only offers to move the file to a bookmarked location, and I can't for the life of me work out how to create a bookmark to the USB drive. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi

I have a VU+ Duo with the latest VTI image.

I would like to archive a few films that I have recorded on the VU+ HDD.

I installed NTFS-3G and have mounted a 16gb USB drive.

I have been going through the menus but I can't find a function that will allow me to move these files.

In the recording list I only have the red button function 'all'. The other buttons do nothing.

I can FTP to the box, but it takes about an hour per movie to move them that way.

    Thanks,

I can't get this to work on a VU+ Duo.

    I've followed the steps:

    Installed the IPK

    Performed a scan on 28.2e

opened up the plug-in menu, set area, HD Bouquet.

When I press green to start it asks 'Do you want to perform a NIT scan', it doesn't matter if I select yes or no, they both give the same result. The screen flashes for a second and then returns to the AutoBouquets menu.

    Any suggestions?

Currently running Tring card in VU+ Duo with Oscam 2901 cccam 213

I wanted to check entitlements, so I accessed CCcam 2.1.3 server through browser, clicked on Entitlements button and I get this:

    "card reader /dev/sci1
    no or unknown card inserted"

The other information is there and makes sense, it just seems that the Entitlements are not able to be read.

I'm not sure how to get any further than this.

I've just gone back to my supplier to ask what's going on.

I did see this though in a listing:

"NEWS Re-Scan The Transponder Tring sports 2,3 and 4 are here now.

    Same Transponder, Same Frequency 11283 V 27500"

Obviously a bit late for yesterday's games, but would a channel scan help?

    Anyone getting today's games?

I'm struggling to get my card to clear the sport channels, all other tring channels working fine.

Tried my usual trick of updating the card in my old TM1500 shows that I have October entitlement but no sport.

Thanks Master G, and thanks for the BHole image backup - yours is the one I am currently using.

Can I ask a dumb question? I am currently running with Oscam and CCcam. How do I switch from one to the other? I assume that there is a menu where I can turn one off and the other on? I just can't find it...

When is the best time to get the update, is it the first few days of each month?

OK. So couldn't see anything that I had done, so I reflashed a later version of Master G's image. That left me without functioning Tring channels (no signal at all), so I manually scanned them back in, and now everything is working again.
