    I just installed, but unfortunately my tuners vent out. Tried many more method restore working tuners, but no success. So finally flashed back my newnigma2 backup, and then all ok. What happened?

    So few days ago hdglass updated to compatibility with OpenATX 7.X images, i just tried that image.

    First impressions:

    -image is fast, but picture freezing a half second after i changed channel

    -menu setting far the best, with many many more options i ever seen

    -picture worse than newnigma2 dreamos image, darker, lower contrast, and unsharper, but can't change anything

    -there's no space left, maybe internat partitions mount fault, it's an old issue, which was not resolved

    -because no space, i can't made backup, i can't download any hdglass picons etc etc

    -hdglass skin can't use menu PIP mode, i see a small square cutted from live picture, not a real PIP

    -epgimport works good, downloaded fast, and works good


    Looks like, the direction good, but it will many many more working to a perfect image. Finally i made a backup, but reflashed my newnigma2 image to use daily, and then wait for better working imeage. Thanks!

    I am waiting for your work, i can' t live without hdglass, i use it 6-8 years ago without any issues. I'll hope it will works.

    I just tested, at default skin other skins or anything installing (IPK from tmp) unavailable, after switch metrix skin, hdglass skin can install, but if i want to switch that, no option, no visible, but package manager shows, it's installed too. Otherwise all looks good, picture small brurred if i see SD on HD TV, so upscale not the best.

    Can you fix installing hdglass skin? I installed it from openatv package manager, and upload one to tmp also, but no luck.


    I am wait for DM two image openatv for one year, and i hope, once one openatv image will work on my box.

    Hello, i just tested last image on my Dreambox Two. GUI very impressive, settings overdosed, i can switch off egp grabbing from transponders, so everything's looks fine.

    I just installed my favorite skin HD glass, and my favorite EPG grabber, epgimport plugin, try to set all, upload my channel list, and then reboot the box, and looks like works good.

    But unfortunately i can't download anyting through hdglass skin, because said my flash is full (it has internal 16GB EMMC and 4GB flash) so someting's wrong, finally i began watch tv without picons and additional files, but after 6 hours my box self- rebooted, and i got flashing red light.


    Today i succesfully bing it back to live with service usb- serial cable, putty, and a rescue image, after i upload a backup, box updated cpu code, so if you can develop it in the future, will be good, all others use conventional simply settings, weak plungin compatibility, so this image is the first after 1.5 years, i want to use forever.


    At this point this image destroy dreambox two boxes.

    I just tried your method, but no luck:

  • Dreambox Two or Vu Duo 4K

    Read lines, that is real. What hear about any new Vu+ model? There's no development, they sell old boxes, developers can't develop any new image to this old ardware, a small kid's phone's have much power, than that boxes. I used Vu+ uno 4K se, that was good, but i tried many more images, box eats memory, i must to restart is within 2 wees, (2GB, but i see only 700MB), a simply channel reading generated 70°C+ cpu heat, because they can't build in a small fan over CPU, so that box will cooking his cpu, after i put a fan, i get 40-45°C, that normal, etc etc etc, i sell it after 4 years, and buy a brand new DM two, it's a brand new stb with very impressive hardware, so we think, image developers can release many more images in the future, but the box very very fast in the present, outside cover is a room- temp only, newnigma2 image uses only 6-700MB from 1.9GB RAM, booting, channel changing are blazing fast. Pls watch attached image, that shows a Vu+ uno 4K SE, CPU temp at factory fanless design is too high.

    I found at the newnigma2 forum faq, and found the backup method, so we can try any plugins without we lost any good images and own settings. Checked, works good.


    Create backup
    A complete backup can be created in the software administration / package manager with the number key "7". Simply press the "7" key with the package manager open.
    A complete backup is created in / media / hdd / (with One and Two in / data) (the creation takes a while due to the compression, don't be impatient). The backup created in this way can be flashed via RescueLoader like a normal image.


    The strange thing, it will be within only one minute. :-)) That backup can be flash back, so i have one step forward.

    So finally looks like, dreambox two and newnigma2 image will be better than i expected. Installed image, challen list, cam, fullhd glass skin, all functions works good, remote answers, and rebooting blazing fast, ( i use logitech harmony touch IR remote) i set and tested all through 5-6 hours, gui and box rebooted 80x, but never get green death, or any issue, really working flawlessly. Only one problem found, i use epgpimport plugin, and want to set off EIT EPG function, but nowhere found that settings. Only that EPG disabling and real full backup plugin will be the two final thing i want only, if i can replace webinterface to old, that will be the best for me.

    Thanks, epgimport installed succesfully, all ok, so i can watch tv, one important issue solved. :-)) Others can wait for developer's solution. Thanks!
