    thanks for this but have you a guide on how to set this up?


    I used the createmini program you also linked me to, i was able to create 5 partitions on an 8gb USB drive.

    I have installed the plugin on my basic openatv 6.2 image, after that I am not sure how to install the new boot image to other partitions

    As per topic subject, is it possible to run OpenATV image directly from a USB rather than the onboard flash on Alien 2 box?


    Cannot seem to find instructions or insight anywhere, m google game just isn't providing me with anything helpful either way.

    Seen a tool to do it on the ole DreamBox 800's.


    Any help is appreciated,

    Hi,
    Just an update.


    Been using 6 weeks now, going well.


    Issue with the parental lock not displaying as you type pin but thats nothing.


    Stability of the box is UNREAL compared to the original image that came on my box (satstation - if im allowed to say that? if not mods plz amend)
    Functionality is tenfold as well of course. No issues with HDD mount (320GB Western Digital laptop hdd via USB to SATA cable on ext3 format)
    Reliability too, we had 2 crashes and both where me mucking around with settings lol.
    The box hasn't locked up at all (each crash reset Enigma just)
    BluePanel is handy too, the online update fixed the HD Judder :)


    My Issues (If you could call them that, moreso quibbles)
    - EPG program information, detailed information I mean, sometimes just wont show (prog title shows but no info below) but pressing INFO button will load another EPG screen where detail appears
    - Remote response is faster than satstation no doubt but slower than your OPENAR-P image
    - When I mute as well I get an error on screen as I removed the QuickButton/QuickMenu setting for it cause it was annoying, just gota press Exit
    - Boot time is about 15 seconds slower than OPENAR-P lol

    Overall though this is certainly the best image iv seen on the Alien2.

    P.S. Dont suppose you could get 7 day EPG working n the MiniHD? lol

  • Champions Hyperion v2 Complete Image

    Been using a week now, so far so good.
    Only gripe I'm working with is the remote, when I mute it brings up MenuQuickButton plugin.


    Everything else seems solid dude. VERY stable and responsive
    - I like the online updater too, HD judder gone and channels look great now 1080p 50Hz.
    - Blue panel very good. Lot of additional options to tweak around with.
    - HDD mount worked from offset, no config needed.
    - No stuttering on stations, was at start but that was mis-configured oscam.server file on my behalf (BTW the gui from web is really good job, like it)
    - Watch one and record one seems to work fine (I did however change Tuner C to "equal tuner B") The OpenAR-P image would sometime not record at all, haven't had that happen here (at least not yet)
    - Resume from standby no longer has issue of no video display (power off and on via remote would resolve it)


    What's the story with the overclock module by the way?



    EPG would be slightly slower to load than your OpenAR-P image but really that's just being pernickety lol.



    Missing a few Picons as well but that's usually the case for me anyway, I mean I would not even consider that a problem.
    Just cant mind the pack I downloaded to fill them last time lol.

    Just want to say box has been going grand for us here since I loaded your image about 5 weeks ago.


    The odd green screen but it doesn't bother me so much, maybe 1 a week tops (usually when in the EPG).
    Still more stable and faster than the original image that box cam with (unsure if I can state it here)


    The HDD mouting works sooooooo much better, I haven't had to reboot the box in order for drive to be recognised and in trn the EPG data to show.
    Do not have to keep restarting the network like original image either.



    Quite happy with the box at the moment, just the HD judder on the sly sports channels at 50Hz but I read just this week there may be a fix.
    I forgot to ask - did you have that issue on your box?

    Its possible. I can live without it for the moment but hopefully a new release from Rat might work down the line. (I am new to this whole thing tbh)


    On another note I had issues watching 1 and recording another channel.

    Championc so far the image is working SOOOOOO much better than the default one I had (not sure if i can mention it as from another forum). Its quicker and more responsive, runs the recorded stuff a hell of a lot better, better functionality and HDD mounting all the time, love the display on box showing correctly too and the options to custom it, hasn't locked up yet at all either.


    To be honest there has been a few crashes but its mainly me configuring a few things to way we like them (EPG, Picons, GUI, shutdown options, auto language etc) and there's a bug that the video display wont come on after standby although I think that's a known issue across the board. Just powering device off and on works via remote.


    Overall its a good image I think, its a few wee things here and there but nothing major.
    Its opened my eyes a bit as I always thought the box was sluggish from the offset, takes ages to load and respond for basic functions, then threw on your image and was blown away by how much quicker it was.


    Its only been a few days but overall so far so good, keep up the good work :)

    Hi, the RS link worked fine thnx.


    Installed ok and so far going grand. Seems a bit more responsive than Yoda's too
    Been tweaking some settings to what we prefer just with regards EPG.


    I am having issues installing Rats Picons though.
    It says the ipk is installed but doesnt show under plugins even after reboot.
    Its possible im installing it wrong though, I cant find the webpage I used last time. Currently installing via tmp folder.
