This is fast becoming making a mountain out of a molehill here...... what has to be done when making decisions for the better of the forum here is to strike a balance, and the reason for that is simple. We cannot and never will be able to please everyone.....
Having to click on the thanks button to view an attachment (or to be able to download it to be more accurate) is not a lot to ask to be fair.... it has helped in a big way to curtail some members who were only here to download as much as they could (whether they needed the download or not) without contributing feck all to put it bluntly...
Members have to realise that without uploaders and contributors of tutorials etc then the forum would look a lot different and would not be as resourceful as we all want it to be.... people will always have views & opinions that differ and that is a good thing, but just because one opinion might be that it looks rediculous that some posts have a lot of thanks / liks below doesn't mean that it will be done away with. You have to remember that the post that maybe looks rediculous might contain some very educational information that can benefit a lot of members and rightfully so the contributor of that post should receive recognition for their efforts of having gone to the trouble of taking their own valuable spare time to make that post and upload any information or files that go with it.
Whether someone sits down and writes a first class tutorial or uploads a file for the latest image, uploads the latest magazine that is of interest or whatever contribution they make to the forum the least we can all do is to click on the thanks button as a simple recognition of the time that they have taken to post it here.
Just my own honest opinion for what its worth.....

As long as your sorted bud i will close this thread now.....

Full re-boot of the box with the extender unplugged then plug it back in once the box has started again.... have there been any image updates installed since it stopped working??
-
As already posted bud you need to get a card (local) to share........
-
Have you tried flashing your box with the original Vu+ image???
I have uploaded it for you to this post....
-
If you do go for the Solo 2 bud then you will need a usb cable tuner...... solo2 only has two fixed sat tuners, no plug and play with it on the main board.
-
This is worth a look, available from our sponsor........

I have converted the nline using the above sormftware already, I can't get onto the webif to edit files. I've been doing it through filezilla.
How are you trying to access the oscam webif, what are you typing into your browser???

Hi Mate, I got a 6month 1/2 price and 6months normal charge, I have an SD Box but my white card is showng burn marks around the chip. however, you have a point about renewing my sub. I want to do another 12 months deal.
You won't get a new card just by re-newing your sub...... your going to have to order a re-placement if you want the red card. Also if your re-newing with Sky for 12 months then a 50% discount for the full 12 months is the minimum you should be asking for.

White card needs to be paired to a sd receiver for it to work with premium content.
Red card can be paired to hd receiver but will only clear premium sd content via oscam with boxkey entered.
No way around this at the moment I'm afraid. Also works with CCcam using the boxkey......

No it doesn't matter what image you use... Just use the one that YOU like best bud...

I think Sky are only sending out the red cards now bud... Last two i got were both red. The last one being a replacement for a white one due to it showing signs of burning around the chip. At least thats what i told them...

What colour is your Sky card? White or Red??
If it's a white one and you have put it in a sky hd receiver it will now be hardware paired to that box... If you want it to work in your server again you will need to pair it to a sky SD receiver.
If it's a Red sky card all you need to do is add your boxkey to your cam configs in the server for it to work.

See if you can find your routers make & model in the list on this website.... https://portforward.com/router.htm
Then follow the guide.

The card is paired when the installer performs a callback through the hidden installers menu or the card can also be paired through this sky website.... https://activatemychannels.sky.com/

If this is a new sky installation bud i would hang fire until the installer has been out to setup your new receiver etc.... it might look strange if you go ahead and pair your new card to a old receiver. The red card will still work in a server even if it's paired to a Sky HD box. You can use the serial number (on a Sticker) on the bottom of the receiver to work out your boxkey...
