Never tried it myself, but in theory yes what you have asked is what I would expect to happen.

Have you got any other usb sticks inserted in the box when trying to flash, one connected on the rear for example for picons??
If you do remove it, then try to flash the box.

Hello bud, i'm trying to do this from memory lol
If you select "Timers" from the main menu you should be able to find what you have set to record in one of the sub menu's there, when you find the recording you want to cancel highlight it then select menu, this should give you a option to delete that timer.

Ok regards HDD, either size will do the job buddy, I have used 3.5 with a duo and also a 2.5 with a solo2, both were Western Digital and have never gave one bit of bother. Although if you are going to be buying one to fit in your Duo2 you could have a look at what the sponsor is offering, it means your box will be coming with the hdd already fitted.
The difference between a single s2 tuner and a DVB-C/T is that the s2 is the type that you connect a cable to from your sat dish, the DVB-C/T tuner is the type that you connect your aerial to for freeview etc.
If you want to record two freesat channels while watching another you will need a twin s2 tuner in one of the rear slots along with a single s2 tuner in the other slot.
DVB-S2 is the normal tuner you connect to from a sat dish, yes

Why not upgrade to the latest 3.0 ViX image, 693 it is at the minute I think. Auto Bouquets maker is already built into it.

Were they sold to a member here? if so the thread will remain open until they confirm that they have received the items.
If they were sold outside of the forum if you could let us know and the thread will be closed as soon as we hear back from you.

Hello buddy,
In a previous post you said you had been reading lots, well maybe you should read a bit more. You should read on how cardsharing works, you have a card that I would like a share from and in return I give you a share from a different card that you would like. The box won't magically open all channels on 28e unfortunately, if it was that easy this forum wouldn't exist.

The easy method is to make a settings backup first before you do anything, but to be on the safe side I would also backup your cam configs etc.
Your making quite a jump from 558 to 693, there have been a lot of updates since then. I don't honestly think you can go straight from 558 to 693, you would need to do a fresh reflash of you duo to get the latest version of vix, i'm almost sure I seen that posted on here, just can't find it at the minute..

If you ftp into your box you can uninstall it manually.
Goto \usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\SystemPlugins\
Delete the coolman folder and restart your box.
