Try to update the epg without using rytec,goto OpenTV providers,select Sly Uk OpenTV,to do this push the down button until it is highlighted then press the green button to enable it,then press the yellow button to download the latest update.
You could do with updating the image,but it's up to you whether you want to or not,you would see a big difference if you changed to the latest Blackhole or Vix for example which has a really good epg on it.

Could you tell us which image you have installed on your box please bud?
It will make it easier to try and figure out where the problem lies.

It allows you set which HDMI plug the Duo is connected to on your tv,ie HDMI 1/2/3/4
Then you can set it to when you bring the Duo out of standby your tv will automatically change over to it plus a few other options.

Have you looked at the settings on the TV you have the Duo connected to bud? there may be a menu for the HDMI sockets which you could make changes too as regards some content being displayed in 4.3 format.
One other thing,is the HDMI CEC enabled or disabled on the image?

Never seen this problem before ever,if it was me I would re-flash the box with the vix image again,if the lines are not having any effect on the box actually starting up and you can still access the main menu then you should be able to make a backup of your settings first before you carry out the re-flash.

In theory as long as you mount the drive and do not initialize it you should not lose anything,but just to be on the safe side I would back up the hdd from your spiderbox before you do this through a FTP program or DCC,then if you do have to initialize the drive at least you will be able to transfer the movies back onto it.

What about giving this a try bud,should be pretty similar to what you have now,you just need to add your own Cfg files.

To download skins for your box buddy,press menu,then select plugins,then press the red button (manage extensions),it will take a min to update,then you will see a selection of different options,skins will be one of them,select that.

To be honest i'm out of idea's on this problem,one thing you could try though,if you like Blackhole you could try the latest version 1.7.8 (Light version) a clean install is worth trying just out of curiosity if anything to see if that solves the problem.

Vix is a very good image for beginners buddy,but I would agree with that only you can decide what is the best for you.Give it a go!

It's been a while since I used the coolman tv guide bud,but from memory I am not sure if you can do this with that plugin,i know for certain that you can do it with the epg on the ViX image,if this is something that you really want to be able to do it might be worth your while trying out ViX.

ok,i would try the tuners the other way round make tuner B your feed from 28e and then tuner A your equal to B.
If that doesn't make any difference try making Tuner A & B both single feeds from 28e

Yes they will overwrite bud but you are better to delete the old picon folder and then replace it with your new one.
