Your C line is best placed after the boxkey and reader lines, they can be kept separate from the rest of the other lines of text that make up your CCcam cfg,as long as you don't put a # in front of any of the text then it can be read. You don't add your c line to the boxkey.

If the drive is already mounted you should not need to initialize it,there may be a option under mount manger to format the drive, this should give you the option to set partitions. In the image somewhere there should be a option in the menu to "Customize".You may have to set this to expert. Then hopefully you will see a menu for Recording paths, have a look in here, see what it is set too.

Just one thing,at the minute with the HDD mounted if you press the record button on the remote what happens???

Ok,the first thing I would do is to mount your HDD,when the backup was made the mountpoint would have been for the HDD installed on my own duo.

When you have done this you will need to reconfigure the crossepg settings, hopefully that should sort the problem out.

Let us know how you get on. beer10

It's always a good idea to format the usb drive to fat32 before you use it with your duo.

When you plug it into the duo you will need to mount it,to do this press the blue button on your remote, then press it again, you will see the option for device manager, select this, you should see your usb listed, select mountpoints, mount it as "mediausb" if you have done this correctly it will ask you to restart the box, select yes.

When the duo restarts your usb drive should now be mounted.

I have attached a ipk file for a add on that will allow you to make a full backup onto either a HDD or a Usb,it is called Backupsuite.
To install it ftp the ipk file to the "temp" folder on your duo, when you have done this press the green button then the yellow button on your remote, select from the list install manual ipk, this will install the addon for you, when that has completed restart the gui.

When the duo has restarted press the green button, this will show you the addons installed on your box,you should see backupsuite.

This is what you need to add for cccam to be able to read your card, this is set for the bottom slot on the duo.If you wish to use the top slot you would change the "1" to a "0" after the sci on both lines. The boxkey is worked out buy taking the serial number of your sly box that the card was paired with and converting it to hexadecimal, you would replace the # with the numbers/letters that are generated from a hexadecimal convertor.

    BOXKEY : /dev/sci1 ## ## ## ##
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci1 3570000
    SMARTCARD SID ASSIGN : /dev/sci1 0

What are the attributes on the folder you are trying to change,775? 755? etc

Looks like you don't have permission to make changes to that folder and that is why is it changing back to false.

Have a look and let us know.

One other thing bud, please do not make posts with "anyone plz!" this only takes up valuable space on the forum,as soon as a member has the answer or can help you with your problem they will reply. Patience is a virtue. beer10

Install this addon,Backup suite will allow you to backup to a HDD or a USB,plug a usb stick in mount it and backup to there.

I have attached the ipk file for you.

Ok , one thing you could try is to remove the "picon" folder from media/usb and place it in usr/share/enigma2 then restart the gui. If the picons work then we will know that it is defo a mounting or usb drive problem.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi there, is the usb drive mounted as "media Usb"??

You will need to set it as this, then to add your picons folder, ftp it to that location.
