Hello bud,
You have been a member since Dec 2011,and your first post is one for help when no other forums can help you out.
Could you help us out first and make a intro post here: Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall
Thanks
Could you explain a bit better what it is you are trying to do please, do you want to delete one single channel or a complete channel list???
Have you had a read of the oscam wiki?? : Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall
This is a good starting point, having a basic understanding of how oscam works and what it is capable of will help you decide if this is the best setup for you.
Maybe you could try using oscam as your card reader first so you can see it working, get used to it and seeing the information it provides.
Have a look here: Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall
Easiest way to do this bud is to install Ts Panel on your duo, then go to add-ons panel,we have a section there which includes ready made channel lists (Sgt Flip Flop/Catseye etc) which you can install straight onto your box.
Get the Tspanel here: http://linuxsat-support.com/en…ddons-server-updates.html
Once you have done this you can start to read up on channel list editors etc, start to create/modify to your own choice.
Hello Bud,
Could you tell us what image you are running on your Uno please???? will help us to give you the information as to how to mount your hard drive.
As for how to get recordings/downloads onto DVD,if your default location for recording will be your HDD then all you need to do is FTP into your box, goto the HDD folder, download the file that you want to burn to DVD onto your desktop, then go from there using whatever program you use (Nero etc).
FTP the ipk file that you have for gbox to the tmp folder,
Then in telnet type this command, you will need to change the last part in RED to the exact name of the ipk file that you have,i have only put it on here as a example.
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-cams-Gbox_v806-VTI.ipk
From what i can read/search the answer is no,going by the manual the connections on the rear of the Vu Duo (yellow, red & white) is for output only.
Ok first of all you need to set a budget, how much do you want to spend on a box??? once you decide this then others will be able to advise you on what is the best for your money.
The second thing you need to do is to read the rules buddy: <13> If you are the supporter of a Pay Server DO NOT ask for support, your request will be ignored.
Nobody here is going to give you any info regarding payservers, which is also referred to as a "gift" which you pay for! They never are or will be welcome in this forum.
Try reading up on the "sharing" part of this great hobby, avoid payservers or "gifts" like the plague.
ok,now i'm starting to get confused!! lol
Your trying to use your dyndns to access your server internally?? to access the webif of cccam/oscam or open webif etc you would use the folllowing,
http://yourboxip:then the port number here of whatever you are trying to access
Do you mean OpenWebif????
The settings for this are usually on your plugins list, you would need to go in there to set the http port etc.
In your router settings for port forwarding, have you added you dyndns details??? this has to be done so the updater can see when your ip addy changes.
Yes, you will need to insert the sly card into one of your Dreamboxes and set this up as a server, all other boxes connected to the server with the exception of the sly box can then be connected to your server as a internal share.
You can just put your card back into the sly box for anytime & go,but remember once you remove the card from your server box you wont be able to view certain channels until you put it back in.
Ok the way i would connect and mount any external device is :
With the box switched on,not in standby,
plug the usb plug of your device into a spare port on the box
press the blue button twice
select device manager
you should see your device listed, select it and press the red button to mount it.
select what you want to monut it as, ie HDD
It will as you to reboot the box,do this.
Once the box has rebooted go back into device manger and you should see your device mounted.
If you don't need a dual tuner then going by the specs the Uno is a good choice, one advantage the Uno has regards tuners is that the tuner in a Uno is plug & play.Support is pretty much on a par for both boxes.
I think this one is pretty much just a matter of choice for you bud.
Did you try flashing on the original VU image for the duo,i would try this next, gives the box a good clean-out and will update the drivers for you.
I would try re-flashing your image back on,could just be something has been corrupted with the HDMI output after using time-shift.
Worth a go anyway, let us know how you get on,cheers
Goto Menu/Setup/Service Searching/Manual Scan
I would go for the latest BH 1.7.8 buddy, give it a go see what you think, don't think you will see a big difference to be honest, but at least it gives you good practice flashing a new image onto your box.
