    No problem geordiewhite,

To install ts panel, ftp it to your temp folder,i am not 100% familiar with the vix image,i have only used it a couple of times myself, but you should have a menu called "add-ons" might be accessed through the green button then yellow, when you access the "add-ons" menu you should have a option in there to manual install "ipk" files,in there should be the file for TS panel that you FTP'd over to the temp file.Select this (press ok to install),then it should tell you to restart the GUI.

    Give it a go!!

Did you reboot as soon as you ftp'd the file over to the box? you should not need to do this, ftp the file to the temp folder then install the add-on,then you would need to restart the gui.

If that is the message you are getting it looks like the cam has not installed properly,if it had you should see on the screen when you press the "blue" button 2 cams installed, whichever one is active will be showing below it, ie "common interface" when you do get cccam installed and you have the message showing on the blue panel to show you 2 cams installed, you would just press the arrow button to the left until it shows the softcam being whichever version of ccam you have installed then press "ok" to start it.

One thing to check, did you make any changes to your setup before the card stopped working???
If you made a full backup when the card was working it might be worthwhile flashing it on just to doublecheck that the card is still not working .

If you did install any add-ons etc try un-installing them and then try your card again,if the card has been working in your box can't see it being a problem with that, try taking the card out and giving the contacts a wipe. Worth a try.

When was the last time you updated your channel list?? It would be worth trying the latest channel list from Catseye or Sgt flip flop etc,if you still cant get it to open try doing a full sat scan (28e) with the new channel list installed.

    Worth a go!

If you go for a VU box you won't be disappointed, the solo has a HDMI output so if you are able to use this you will get a very good quality picture.Image is a matter of choice,Blackhole is very popular for the VU boxes as it runs very stable. But there is also ViX,Open AAF etc to name a few.

Follow this link,it is backup's made by members of this forum using different images on their boxes,a lot of them include screen-shots.

Try formatting the flash drive your are using to update the bootloader and flash new image on to "FAT 32"

Format it and then update bootloader, format it again and then extract new image onto it,flash onto duo.

Another thing to remember is to remove the usb flash drive when it has finished before rebooting box.

    Goto your main menu,select setup

    select setup
    select service searching
    select tuner configuration
check that your configuration mode is set to "advanced" then go through the settings in there

    Then goto manual scan
in that menu change "satellite" to the one you want to scan "19.2e/23.5e etc"
then change "network scan" to "yes"
then change "clear before scan" to "yes"

    Press ok to start scan

    Glad your enjoying it Jono!

The VU boxes are very user friendly and easy to look after, very stable and need little or no attention.

If your liking the Solo already your really going to love the Duo!!!

When you unzip the file you should have a folder named "vuplus",copy this over to your flash drive and then update your bootloader via the front usb socket on your duo,it updates it very quickly and when it is complete it will tell you on the front of the duo to remove usb (flash drive) and restart box

Are your using the latest channel list,catseye/sgt flip flop etc or whatever one you prefer? If not might be worth updating it,see if this sorts it for you.

    Worth a go.
