It really depends on how old the HD box is and whether it was a Thompson or not....... but yes if you pair your card to a SD receiver you should be back up and running. From what i can understand you will still get Setanta HD as they look after their own card updates etc, it's not carried out by sly..... (same as BT sports or Boxnation etc, members have their card paired to a sd box but still get the HD side of things on their servers/boxes if they subscribe to that package)

NBC show all the 3pm games bud..... but you need to have a active account for one of the providers (Direct TV for example) to access them. The NBC Live sports extra app now includes the facility under configure for you to be able to input your details.

Am I right in thinking somebody has been accessing these ports which is why the 2nd tuner was blocked?
If so, is there a more secure way of port forwarding/streaming?
Don't open any ports that you don't have too..... and if your going to open a port for streaming etc then enable HTTP authentication and choose a very strong password.

Using Vix Hades, Happens with the media player from plugins and I also try by using the standard player on vix by plugging the stick in and then loading the file list changing the location to the usb...

Going by the first pic you posted bud, and also comparing it to the guide you linked us too in your post i would say yours has the security chip which are built into clones behind the card reader unfortunately....
I hope you can return it to where you got it.
We don't offer support for Vu+ clones here due to our current sponsorship terms..... so i will have to clse this thread now.

Have you tried to update the bootloader???? available here: duo cfe Rev 3.0
Try that then flash a newer image on..... if that still doesn't work then there is a good chance it's a clone bud.... any stickers on the outside of the box about where to download images etc?

Login through putty with the username & password you setup on the initial install....
Then type sudo su ( you will be asked for your password again)
Now run the script to install cccam/oscam.

Good question...... Only Vu+ know why they did this. Sat wise the most tuners you can have that are connected directly to the board are 4, you need to have two dual tuners installed to do this. Then you could also have a cable tuner connected by usb......

If you have already put the cable.xml into your box then i would check in menu/setup/service searching/tuner configuration (select your cable tuner and see if you can input the settings there)

Easiest way is to install our addons panel available here: [DOWNLOAD] Linuxsat-Support Add-ons Panel
That way you can install directly to your box the most up to date channel lists.....

No, not at this moment in time..... the only option you have is a UHD 4K box from BT themselves......
Please tell me your not using a payserver buddy..... the rules here are very clear. Gifts/payservers etc are not welcome.
