Have to admit defeat on this one I'm afraid..... everything is set as it should be but the open port is still not allowing access from outside. Hopefully the work around will get you going nirmies buddy.

All I can tell you bud is that the HH5 deffo works for sharing & port forwarding etc...... have one myself. You sure you don't want teamviewer support just to have a fresh pair of eyes look over it... only other thing I can think of is your cam configs, just double check that the port in your configs is the one that you have forwarded in the hub....

Hello buddy, I have moved your post to here as it's a Duo2 you have..... you had posted in an old thread in the duo support section...

No need for a dummies guide all the tutorials are already here.... your box will probably have come with the factory image installed. As your new to all this I would suggest that you try the openViX image first... very user friendly and easy to setup.

I have attached the latest version here for you.... unzip the file which should leave you with a folder named "vuplus" , copy this folder to a usb stick which has been formatted to fat32. Turn your duo2 off at the rear, Pull down the cover on the front right hand side of the duo2, plug the usb stick into the slot here. Make sure no other usb sticks or devices are connected to the rear of the box. Turn the receiver back on and when prompted on the front screen press the power button located above where you have inserted the usb stick you are using to flash the new image with, if you don't press the power button the image will not flash onto the receiver.... wait for the flashing procedure to finish and when you see the message on the front of the receiver saying that it will reboot and counting down turn the receiver off at the rear first and then remove the usb stick from the front. When you have done that turn the box back on and follow the setup wizard to set the ViX image up.

For setting up your tuner configuration correctly you will find tutorials here: Tuner Support

Is the debian server showing in the list of devices when you click on the Home Network tab in the HH5 settings? then in the firewall tab under Port forwarding you will have the game or application that you would have had to create for the server... this should be assigned to the debian server in the drop down list... one thing here is to remember to "apply" the settings after you have added them.

Is your server a box or a pc setup??? the device that you are port forwarding too will need to be restarted once you have all the settings done in the hub...

Ok the device that you have your server running on... is it set to DHCP?

If it is and you have changed the internal ip addy of it in the hub to something you either had assigned to it before or wanted to change it too you must restart that device for it to take effect... then try canyouseeme.com to check if the port is open.

If you want I can teamviewer in for you to check the settings... did one of these last night.

If you have any problem with Ethernet on Zero, please update CFE.
If your set is working properly, PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE IT.

This Bootloader(CFE) should be used for Zero only. Otherwise it will crash the box.

** Brief explanation of Zero's bootloader update **

    1. Unzip the vuplus_zero_cfev1.04.zip to USB stick.(There should be /vuplus/zero/cfe_cfe_auto.bin)
    2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of Zero and turn the power on.
    3. It takes just a few seconds to update.
    4. If front LED of Zero displays blinking, remove the USB stick and restart the box.
    5. If the update of the Zero CFE has completed successfully, the LED will blink four times on reboot.

You will see these warnings when your peers can't connect.... one reason could be that your internet service has gone off or your router is rebooting.... or that the cam has stopped. You will see them connected again when your server allows it...

Have you made any changes recently to your server, have you tried a different version of Cccam? 2.3.0 for example.....

Ok so by paid channels do you mean you pay someone for your line??? Or do you use a share???

Unless you backed up your cam files before flashing a new image on your box then all the configs will have been lost during the flashing process....
