Thread: OSCam 11292 ipk For OE2.0 mips based receivers Various Images
Images are thin on the ground at the min for the Ultimo 4K...... this is usally due to drivers etc when a new receiver is released. The only ones i know of are the original image itself and one from the VTi team. No backup images as yet on the forum.
Nice Christmas pressie though... Enjoy!
If that was on Vix image, then flash latest image and restore the settings and plugins afterwards. A software updated normally makes a settings backup.
Just a couple of things to add.... the same thing has happened to me (update not installing, leaves the box hanging) when updating to version 023 on a duo2. I noticed that the update is to version 023 but this image is not available to download from the openvix website or through the image manager built into the image itself, only 022 is available.
Anyone reporting the same problem regards the latest update over at the openvix forum abu?
With a CCcam only setup you must have the boxid in your configs.....
BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
With oscam if it is a white card you do not need to have the boxid in the configs... but if it is a red card you do.
boxid= xxxxxxxx
Once you have that installed if you want to change to version 11290 extract the attached file and then FTP into your receiver to usr/softcams...
Replace the oscam file in here and remember to change the permissions for it to run to 755...
We can give you version 11245.....
Probably just means there is an online update available for your image.
Yep thats exactly what it means.... time to update bud.
What are the issues you are experiencing???
If you can still open the premium content (sports & movies) then i doubt the card needs repaired to a SD box....
hello everyone.
please help me in my question- how to update or change firmware on Xtrend ET-8500 via usb.
searching from internet dont give me information about this:/
Flashing guide attached.....
Glad your sorted buddy.... i will close this thread now.
Display MoreHi again
Appears all the Horizontal frequencies are dropping signal. (also on viasat sports)
Could it be time for a new LNB or problem with box?
thanks
Jon
Rule out your LNB first..... can you take your box to a friends house who has a dish and run a full channel scan to see if the box pulls them all in???? if all is ok at your friends place then you know it is your LNB on it's way out.
after buying the sly none hd box i didnt need to use it i just installed ccccam oscam and put my boxkey in my cccam config when i got up today card updated and boom bt sports now clearing thanks again for all your help guys much appreciated
Glad your sorted bud, i will close this thread now....
I have used a 90cm dish with a motor attached.... i was able to pull in with no probs 28,23,19,16 & 13 E 1,5 & 30W that was from Northern Ireland.
The usb stick you use should be formatted to fat32.....
When you run through the setup wizard how are you configuring the tuners? also when the setup wizard has completed have you installed a channel list? or are you running a full scan as part of the setup?
From memory when your upgrading from ViX 4.1 to 4.2 a system restore is not compatible.... i could be wrong here though.
You already have a thread on this asking the same thing bud....
The answers you were given will solve the problem for you.... if your moving again etc in the new year then probably best to go for the legacy LNB that will work for both the sky Q and your solo2.
Any at all bud.... never seen anyone posting on here about a certain type or model of SD receiver not working for this.
Buy a SD receiver of an auction site or somewhere similiar and pair your white card to that....
I think your missing the point to be honest.... it's only the Thomson HD box they want to remove, i doubt there are many of them in exsistance to be honest compared to millions of SD receivers.
Yes you will get a replacement red card if your white one is damaged etc...
I think once they stop updating (kill the Thomson HD boxes) the Thomson HD receiver the boxkey that you generate from the serial number will also stop working.... oscam works out the boxkey for you but if sky remove all the thomson serial numbers from their system i would imagine it will stop the card that is paired to it from working also...
Yes that is correct... if you pair a red card to a new Sky HD receiver it will still work in a third party receiver. You need to add your boxkey though for it to work properly in your server.
