In Blackhole you need to set a daily reboot as a cron job, blue button twice from memory, should see a option there for cron jobs/timers...

Ok before you updated the image, did you back up your configs etc??? how were you accessing the pay channels?? your own card or connection to a server????
-
It would be a lot easier for you just to install a ready made channel list buddy, one for a motorised setup...
Install our addons plugin, available here: Linuxsat-Support-Addons Plugin
Once you that installed you can add a channel list straight to your box, catseye is very good for motorised settings.

Use the link in this post to get the latest ViX image: Latest OpenVix 3.0 Build Updates & Changelogs
Ignore the build number at the top of that post, the links will take you directly to ViX where you can access the images and cams etc....
-
Yep worth a try bud.
-
Ok this is what I would do, try a different image. ViX for example. If the problem ceases then at least that rules out a hardware problem. If you don't like ViX then you can always go back to BH and see if the problem returns. Sometimes it can just be that the image needs reflashed.

What way is your tuner configuration setup???
-
No wouldn't think so bud, you would need to check power timers etc, something that is putting the box into deep standby or similar.
-
Ok did you check the timers as suggested by Meerkat...
-
What version of BH?? I think the autoshutdown plugin is active, check by pressing the green button, this will show you the plugins installed. If autoshutdown is there check if it is set to on, if it is set it to disable.
-
If the box has been in standby it will always have a slightly warm feel to it, but it should not be hot. Where have you got it sitting? is that space well ventilated? anything sitting below or on top of it?
What image have you got installed? you might need to adjust the fan settings...
-
In ViX goto the addons panel again, menu/plugins red button. remove plugins....
-
Glad your sorted bud, thread closed.

What date was on the channel list you installed?? could be the channel you are getting tune failed on has changed frequency from when the list was made.
Try installing our Addons Panel: Linuxsat-Support-Addons Plugin
It has channel lists that you can install straight onto your solo2. Try a few different ones until you get what you need.
-
Ok, I think you should reflash the box with ViX again, this is a very good image for a new user of a Linux receiver. When you have Vix installed if you select the plugins menu and then press the green button on your remote this will take you to a menu where you can then select settings. In here you will find plenty of ready made channel lists which you can install directly to your solo2.
Try this and let us know how you get on, there are other ways to install channel lists but this is a easy way to get going. You would really be limiting the potential of your solo2 by using the official firmware for it.

Yes your quite right, payservers & their supporters are not welcome in this forum....
All info on this forum is free buddy, all of it! But what you are looking for is for someone to give you a line to connect to their server so you can watch sly for free..... well it's not going to happen, the clue is in the name "sharing"

Click on the start button, then documents, on the left hand panel at the bottom you should see a tab called network, click on this you will see all the devices connected on your network.
-
Ok I would do a full restart of your duo and router and then try what you were originally trying to do... make sure your duo is part of your home network and that you can see it on your pc.

Glad your sorted buddy, thread closed.
