Can you start samba? autostart enabled means that if you restart the box you don't have to start it again manually....

Setting up a image is all part of the fun bud, that's what this hobby is all about... learning and trying different things, don't be afraid to update your image. It's an important step to take as it keeps all your boxes drivers etc up to date. Just remember to make a full backup of your configs and image before you start, that way if you get into trouble you can go back to where you were before you started.

Everything you need is all here, give it a go!

Ok that image is well out of date now bud, the latest BH is 2.0.8... did you check in extra settings (blue button twice) if samba was running?

What image are you running bud??? is samba installed/running??

menu/setup/system/user interface/settings/ show second info bar (set how many seconds you want to show it for)

Autobouquets maker is not a must for crossepg to work buddy, and it is already installed in the ViX image as standard.....

Using ViX no it doesn't change to a radio station... just stays on whatever channel i'm viewing at the time...

Only time I seen that happen was when using Blackhole.

Regards your choice, well you get what you pay for basically.... it's a client box only so you are going to be limited as to what it can do.

Are you just wanting to populate the list for 28.2e??? or is there other sats that you need to update the epg for???

There is no need to pay anybody buddy, that is not what this forum is about...

I know how frustrating it can be waiting for help to come along but please be patient, you have to realise that this is still a new box to most and that the right person has just not come along yet that can answer all for you. All the tutorials that are available have been posted here, I know you are probably sick of reading by now but have a break from it for an hour then go back and try to sort one thing at a time.

This is just one thread to do with what could possibly be wrong, if you use the search box you can find others...

Ok there will be a folder on your HDD inside the box named "imagebackups" in here you will find the full backup file of the image (should be named vusolo2-3.0.808......) , ftp this over to your pc or lappy via ftp.

Now depending on whether you use WinRAR or winzip etc you will need to extract the "vuplus" folder from the zip or rar file, right click on it and select extract here, you should now have the folder named vuplus on your desktop. This is the folder that you would put on a usb stck and flash your friends box with as per the normal flashing procedure.

Yes that's correct buddy, which is why you are better to back these up on another device when you have made a personal or full backup of the image. When you reflash a newer version of the image you can then easily ftp the personal backup over to the box again and restore all your settings etc.

You should find the full backup of the image on the HDD, there should be a folder "vuplus" this is the full backup.

Your settings backup will be where the path has been set to store it too, I think the default is the HDD, but it can be changed to usbstick of you have one mounted. You should see a file named "Bhpersonalbackup" this is it.

Both can be saved to your pc or lappy using a ftp program...

If you type 301 in on the remote does it take you too Sly Premier HD??

Also when you press the epg button on the remote what happens? do you have it setup that it shows the bouquet list on launch?
