Update, I was about to give in and swap to Debian but decided to try one last thing.
I removed the powered usb and plugged the Omnikey direct into the server(still only running one reader with Setanta)
and it has appeared to cure the problem,I haven't added the other Omnikey with Viasat yet,but all looks to be stable (left it over the weekend).

Update- i have disabled the check scripts and still the same.
so i tried doing one thing at a time- removed omnikey reader with viasat card and just ran setanta in the other omnikey reader.
removed user account and line in cccam.

now when i go onto setanta sports 1 my local card opens but only for a few mins(1 or 2 at best) then reverts to my peer(hop 2)

    any suggestions???

doing my head in now :(

Running a Ubuntu 11.04 server with auto install cccam/oscam (213/updated oscam to 6192)
installed omnikey drivers and edited lines-

remove hash from 'try_emulation_first = yes;'
remove hash from 'lock_login = true;' and change value to false?

2 omnikey readers with setanta and viasat

all connected ok and in oscam cards are showing entitlements fine, connects fine to cccam and clears setanta sports etc on hop 1.

This lasts for about an hour or so and then the cards drop out (still showing all entitlements ok) and i have to re-insert them into the readers for the channels to clear on hop 1.

    configs are-

ports, box id's and usernames/passwords have been changed.

anybody see any problems or does it all look fine?
Or any other suggestions as to what the problem could be?

viasat latvia/lithuania card wasnt updating entitlements (oscam) so i put it back in the original viasat box and its showing "this service is blocked (4)"

anybody had any issues with this or had a similar thing happen?

Is the card kaput ? I will leave in the receiver for a day or so and see if it clears/updates?

For anybody that wants to know,I bought this externally powered usb hub from Currys. Its half price at the mo £7.99

    Code
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/logik-l4thub10-4-port-powered-usb-hub-04979017-pdt.html]LOGIK L4THUB10 4-port Powered USB Hub buy online | Currys

    Cheers G.
Was me being a plank,I refused to believe i had 2 knackered hubs, but guess what.............both hubs are kaput.Very odd when they both worked before i did the upgrades :doubt:

But i decided to go and buy a brand new hub and it worked straight away. Oh well you learn somethin new every day

Right then,I got my hands on a vias@t card and thought i would add it to my server,so......thought i would do a complete upgrade while at it :doubt:
    installed this-- http://linuxsat-support.com/li…-1-3-install-package.html

and got all sorts of crazy ecm times so sacked it off and went back to my original set up and just add the new card.

but after going back to 10.04 my powered usb hub isnt seen anymore,i have 2 powered usb hubs and cannot get either seen via lsusb :too_sad:
tried booting with usb hub connected and then booting server and logging in and then connecting usb hub but no joy.

anybody have any suggestions to get the hub seen again?

Got my hands on a viasat card and official box.
i have a ubuntu server with oscam +ccam ,my setanta card is all setup and running sound and clearing fine ,i have added the viasat card and at first was showing "error no entitlements" (but worked fine in original box clearing sport baltic, golf etc),I have added a boxkey and now get 69 entitlements in oscam but... the channels are not clearing and i'm getting a message in oscam- "channel not subscribed"

anybody have any ideas why its not clearing the channels?

Openbox are a great little entry level box or good for throwing in the spare room or kids rooms.I just bought a Slybox f3 off Flea bay and these are a bit more responsive than the openbox, they boot in half the time and have a faster channel change to.

after this you are then into the clone box price bracket (Vu+,Dreambox etc) Thats unless you win the Raffle :D

But i would do as MRGMX says and pop over to the sponsors and have a chat as if you buy from them you will get great support/help if you get any hardware probs.
