its a dm920 using openatv 7.1 so its not a resource issue possibly image. but i believe 7.1 is the stable release.

Try flashing it again (fresh install) possibly files are corrupt but I really am just suggesting

thanks its not that, i flashed previously from 7.2 that was worse. i would include a log but i think i have it set to tmp directory and it keeps on wiping, gonna move it to var/log and see if it keeps them. i have just read here there is an issue with oscam stopping RE: Oscam r11718-798 it stops working (OpenPLi 8.3)

is there another version they speak of in above thread compiled by someone else anywhere so i can try maybe ?

does icam stream relay need curl for older boxes? i know it needs libcurl4

i have an old vusolo 1 box ferrari version that i managed to get working. after reboot it went off, i then after quite a few reboots installed curl and it was working again...coincidence?

As you can see there is no actual program displayed on player bar:

When I press EPG buttom on my remote control I see much less upcoming programs (only four):

It does nothing as it uses MaxTV bouquet because I watched HRT-1 before:

So for portals it doesn't work like for playlists. If I download iptv channel list as a bouquets it works, but as I mentioned before my iptv bouquests will be deleted on next channel list (settings) update, also for some iptv portals there is a lot of lists what I need to download as a bouquet, and if something change in the channel list I have to do it again.

So my question is: this different kind of work for playlist and portal (for EPG) is like it should be, or I made some mistake or some setup missing or so on?

Service Information provided by AJPanel can be viewed with different methods:

Method-1:

Long-Press the "Info" button to show the system's "Event info menu", then select "AJ Service Information".

Note: The INFO button is HELP or EPG on some devices.

Method-2:

If the panel's Player-Bar is shown, click "Info" button.

Method-3:

From inside the panel, select "Services/Channels", then "Current Service Information".

The panel tries to show as much information as possible for the current playing service.

And, when showing IPTV information, the panel will also download the PIcon and EPG add will add them to the system. That's why the player shows the progress of the playing event after using the INFO button.

The number of programs that appear in EPG are the ones we receive from the servers (no limit).

This does not happen with portal EPG, though. It will be added to the coming version.

About loading your channels regularly:

Why don't you make a backup of your channels befor you load new ones. It will make it easy for you to retrieve them back whenever you want. Go to "Backup & Restore" and try the first two options.

Another option to try is:

Go to "Services/Channels" the "Import Bouquets from Backup Files". This option can open and browse the zip files that you download and will let you import selective or all bouquets.

None of this works none of the methods for epg?

no event info comes up on the bar at all even when info,help buttons are pressed long or short.?

nope its a openatv 6.3, problem is its a clone meelo box which cant get the latest images i think.

i got these erros after trying to install the ipk, what should i do new image? cheers what is libcurl4 used for the stream relay bit?

HD would probably work if you have the required keys to run the card correctly, and that is like trying to land on the Sun to cook Xmas dinner.

Can you have card in main box and send stream relay to second dreambox?

i have never been able to get this working am using openpli 11.2 image on a dm920 4k box. it will only play that radio mars and nothing else, its bizarre. tried custom channel iptv wont play them either?

Ahh i can see now how that would happen in that situation. Thanks for clearing up the restart delay question, relating to the buffer the Qtstalker plugin or mag boxes they have a buffer system on them in advanced section and i guess they use no mounted usb storage to attain the buffer not sure about that. the buffer obviously helping in very bad streams sometimes which makes it more seamless if there is drops from provider. Xtreamity, e2m3u2bouquet ,jedimakerxtream & Multistalker don't have this facility. To be honest i'm not even sure it works on Qtstalker as its a port over of the mag system.

I use 6.4 and have never noticed restarts during gui interaction thats just bizarre. glad its not happening here lol

as i noticed the stuck channels hack delay default is 2500. is that infact 2 and half seconds?

you have gone into service app and taken it off original and moved the playback system to service app and changed player to exteplayer3?

it could be your iptv provider is no good? or that particular stream is no good.

you know it restarts if the stream/channel info comes on the bottom of the stream for five seconds obviously that may not happen for some time depending on your iptv supplier. you can check the quarterpounder-debug.log located in the tmp directory on your box, it will say service 5002 then will say what channel/stream was restarted at the end eg bbc1 restarted, if you get no restarts over a period of a few days then you are not using a compatible player. exteplayer ext 5002 works 100%

maybe he thinks it is a like the restart version of oottppxx plugins. the restart version is a manual restart where as the quarter pounder is a automatic restart plugin.

although i prefer the automatic restarter myself. some might want both.

if using restarter, hotkey the restart plugin to your favourite button and press on the restart icon to manually restart.

where you using exteplayer. when i get a chance i will test all players and find out which players work best. when i tested ages ago gstplayer didnt work. with updated players that may have changed.

on a separate issue maybe people can put the restart delay on 3 to 5 seconds as i believe this may be a buffer, i will start to read up on this.
