I believe that the first step , installing bootloader extension, will work on

any Viper 4K ... V20,V30,V40 ! then user must adapt the /backup image

to his real model ! The only thing that bothers me is the RC !!! if we don't

have a Dinobot RC ... the procedure is useless !

Regarding the return to the original state ! it can be done using the

"recovery image" I've posted ! it was tested on V20 and V30 and is

working ... is reinstalling the original boot context for V30 but after that

you can reflash any image for V20 or V30 as well !

Two years ago I've tested the compatibility of Dinobot images with Viper V20,V30 and V40 !

except of different names for archive image folders ... the image works and Viper RC was

understood in Dinobot image ! Sure ... there is not a certitude that this is true at Bootloader

lowest level !

Unfortunately , for the moment I cannot test your procedure ! the Viper is not Home !!!

- unpack the archive

- put the .bin file into the root of a FAT32 stick

- insert-it and power-up

Probably the bootloader can't read your USB stick !

try another one ! less than 64 Gb capacity !!!

Did you unpacked the archive file ?

Your memory stick is formatted FAT32 ?

- Unpack the archive , put it on a fat32 usb stick !

- power off , insert stick

- power-on with GREEN pressed some 10s

Two years ago I've signaled "green screens" after skin change with one

the included ones were changed 2 years ago !

A5 boot is of Android origin ! so does not setup full video properties

until Android is UP or ... inherits the previous video mode ! If previous

video mode is set to a 60 Hz or was not set ... Enigma2 will boot out of

sync ! This happen in PurE2 also but not in OpenATV !

- image boots but does not control the video output and is out of sync

- but ... if I boot Android and set 1080i50 ... at reboot is OK

- to fit the screen nede to change to a 720p skin

- network is working (wired)

- tuners are detected but ... any reference to tuner goes into

a spinner loop !

The problems on Ferguson Ariva 4K combo were caused by the dvb-c driver !

and were solved by the manufacturer in the early stages og the FW ! but ...

nobody tell to the people to restore the FW using "recovery" method ... so

drivers included in Kernel were not updated into the online procedure !!!

Android will be worse at any RAM or EMMC ... Google made

all the efforts to kill , day by day , Android for Tablet !

Youtube , Kodi and NetFlix were restricted to 1080 or less !

- create the SD card using Win32Imager

- replace into the card boot.img and dtb.img

- boot the card in KI Plus
