How to flash a Dreambox DM525HD via a Browser or Telnet

There are two different methods for flashing new firmware to the DM525, via browser or telnet / putty.
To put the DM525 into rescue mode proceed as follows:
Browser method
1. Download and extract your image of choice.
2. Power off receiver via the rocker swith on the rear panel.
3. Power on receiver, within 0.5 of a second you must press and hold the power button on the front panel.
You will see a sequence of colours blinking on the power button. Blue, purple then red, then a constant blinking blue.
Release the power button when it starts to blink blue.
3. Type the ip address of the DM525 into a browser and press enter.
4. Click the Firmware upload button.
5. Click Browse button. Search for the downloaded / extracted image, double click on it then Press the Go! button.
6. [*] Finished successfully. You may reboot now.
Click the "Click here to reboot" button.
Telnet / Putty method
1. Copy and paste each line into telnet / putty, pressing enter button after each.

reboot
2. Follow the browser method above from step 3.
