How to USB flash the AX HD61 using the recovery menu
world-of-satellite.co.uk
You can flash an image onto the AX HD61 from a USB stick using its built-in Multiboot recovery menu. You'll need a FAT32-formatted USB stick.
Flashing a local image
- Download your chosen image.
- Transfer the complete zip file to the root of the USB stick — do not unzip it.
- Power off the AX HD61 and connect the USB stick to the front USB port behind the front flap.
- Power on the AX HD61 and, as soon as you do, hold down the top-left power button (or the OK button on the remote).
- Once you're in the Multiboot recovery menu, select Bootmenu at the bottom and press OK.
- Select Flash local image and press OK.
- Select the USB stick where your image zip file is located.
- Select the zip file you'd like to flash and press OK.
- Choose which slot to flash the image to.
- Once complete, select which image you'd like to boot into and press OK.
⚠️ Choose your slot carefully. Flashing to a slot reflashes it — you'll lose everything you've set up in that slot. Note which slot you currently boot from before you choose.
