In order to expand usage of ABM for cable in the ROI, some data is required.

Some test files are attached. (They do not work on SH4 receivers, Amiko etc) Extract/inflate/unzip/unrar the attachments.

    1. Ensure that Debug Logs in image are activated. A restart is required after switching on the logs
    Menu >Setup > System > Logs > Settings > Enable debug logs

    2. Navigate to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/scanner. Make a backup copy of "dvbreader.so" and "dvbscanner.pyo" files. Save them to PC if necessary.
    3. Transfer the "dvbreader.so" and "dvbscanner.pyo" files to "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/scanner" on receiver
    4. Ensure it still has 644 properties/attributes
    5. Activate "extra debug" in ABM's "Configure" menu
    6. Transfer the xml file to "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers"
    7. Select "ROI Cable Test" provider in ABM and then run ABM using your home frequency if you know it. Galway and Dublin City are listed. There other frequencies listed use the base Net ID.
To keep log file small and relevant, plese just run for cable.
    8. Please upload debug logs as an attachment, you may need to zip them first. Do not paste them. Default location is /home/root/logs

    9. Many thanks. You can restore the original fiels and undo the logging options.

Please make a backup of your file "dvbreader.so" and "dvbscanner.pyo" files. The test files may have an adverse effect on other services.

10 If anyone has a USB tuner and able to get a transport stream recording while on the home frequency, this would be appreciated too. The Sundteks are very good for this.
