Connecting an External usb hard drive to dm 800hd

very simple - really just try plugging it in and see what happens! - if it is not recognised then plug it in your pc and do a quick format, then try again. If you are using it for PVR functioin then navigate receiver settings to the exteranal drive then format it.

Some tjmes if it does not connect straight away. If it wont switch off box and when you restart go to hdd in menu and initalize again.

i could never get it work so installed sata internal but left it outside box i cut hole in top of the case now works great
