Need to restart mgcamd every few minutes

I have 2x zgemma s2 boxes running openatv 5.1.
Both have mgcamd 1.35a installed, both connected via ethernet.

They have been running fine until recently.

The last 2 weeks the cam will just stop/freeze and the only way to get it running again is to go back in and restart it manually via the softcam Panel.

Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I just updated both boxes with those files and I'm still having the same issue, going to backup the image now and try the vix image to see if its an openATV issue.

Is there a log file for the cam's which records events to make the troubleshooting process a little easier?

so quick update for anyone who might be able to help me.

I installed the latest vix image to make sure this wasn't something with openATV 5.1, plugins or mgcamd etc...
After installing the vix image, mgcamd and crossepg, I'm still having the same issue.
Channel freezes(not as often) and the only way to fix that is to restart mgcamd or sometimes changing the channel gets it working again, but not always.

What would be the next step? I suppose this has to be the network connection or the server?
Server says he's not having any issues, which I believe as its always been rock solid...

Next is the network... We have the fastest cable internet available, VM cable 360MB/36MB.. Both boxes are connected via ethernet.

Any help would be appreciated, starting to lose the plot here :D
