alright i have spent last cpl days setting up a new pc now im trying to install oscam cccam when i try to chmod the oscam file im getting cannot access no such file i do understand its a permission problem but iv googled and checked on here is there anyone on here that could explain this to me thanks

i have changed root access but for the life of me i cannot chmod that file and the guide you sent me is the 1 i followed thanks

ok on putty i am logged in as root@ubuntu but i still cant chmod this file i remember last time i done this someone used team viewer to help me out but this time rather do myself so i know where im going wrong

Use an FTP tool like filezilla, not ssh/putty. Right click on the file you need to change permissions off, choose file permissions then change oscam to 755. The script should have set the correct permissions already, so not sure why you are doing it again..

i am using winscp and only reason im trying to change permissions is because it was part of the tut cheers for your replies

i think i really need to go try understand the permissions i changed permissions using winscp now onto next step to install and getting same error

got this sorted turned out file was not set to executable but please mark this post as solved
