ccam on openvix vu solo 2

When in the softcam menu using openvix you highlight the cam you want to use and then press the blue button on your remote to enable or disable the cam from starting up.....

thanks for the info McKee 25,i have just got it tick now but the problem now is no config files found,i will reflash this box tomorrow and start again,i have another box with same vix image and there is no problems with it,

Did you download the softcam directly from the vix feeds??? if so they don't come with a CCcam.cfg file as part of the installation.... you will need to FTP your CCcam.cfg file over to the etc folder on your box... then start/restart the cam.

Yep as long as the text file is named CCcam.cfg it will work bud. Just paste your line into it... When you ftp the file over to the etc folder right click on it and give it attributes of 644. Job done!

I have done a factory reset and started again with a bit of a problem,i have try with two usb sticks to load vix image and having no luck,sticks are formatted fat 32,gigablue starts up and by-passes usb,have try usb in front & back,on start up screen I have openvix please wait and nothing else happens

hi jokosat,i have a gigablue hd ultra ue that I thought I had problems with my cams but they are not the problem,i need to flash a new image and I have try with 2 usb sticks and still can't get it to work,i am trying to update to 4.1 vix image,can this be done by using a null cable,if so with what program do I use

I'd disconnect all peripherals first (hdd, usb keys, card readers etc)
Then format your flashing usb with hp format tool (attached) and extract your image to the key.
Let us know how you get on.

File needs to be extracted out.
Use 7zip or winzip.
Your antivirus may block it as it is an executable file (.exe)
