Clueless

Hi i have been given a amiko micro hd box but dont know much about them i did upgrade the firmware by usb but tbh i am flying blind here. i notice this forum had a non linux box section this one but how do you know if its a linux based box or not ? also i cannot get it to ftp using cuteftp pro as i dont know the user or password tried root root but no joy.

Also the ip addy in network says 192.168.000.xxx but i had a dreambox and did everything easy enuff but that ip came up as only .1 or .0 in the 3rd set of numbers it never had 3 like 000

Thx for that i have been trying to get this working but having no joy won't connect to anything via the menu settings it gets the channels but trying to put the magic in it i am struggling to get my head round it.
