how do i format an old sly+ hdd to work on my pc

    hi all, my daughter was messing about with my sly+ box and tossed it to the ground so it aint working any more.


    i opened it up and took out the 500gb hdd.
    is it possible to format this to work on my pc ?

    Disk Management will not work simply because the sky box (amstrad & Samsung) use a propitiatory OS that windows does not recognise. You have to use the windows/dos utility diskpart, list disk, delete volumes. This has to be run from the command prompt. for some Hdd that you rape from the sly boxes :)
