    Boxkey generation

To convert your box serial number to a BOXKEY for use in CCcam just follow these simple steps:

If using a sky digi box go to services, option 4 option 5.

This will give you a 10 digit number.

    Discard the first two digits.

    EG:

    0037748192

    becomes>

    37748192

Next use the online converter HERE

    Convert from DEC to HEX

This will give you the BOXKEY.

    >so in our example 0037748192 becomes 37748192 and converts to > 23FFDE00

our new HEX number needs to be written correctly for CCcam to read it.

It must contain eight digits and be assigned to the correct card reader.

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 23 FF DE 00 (DM with single slot or top slot in DM7020/7025)

    BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 23 FF DE 00 (Bottom slot of DM7020/7025 )

  • Hi

I have used the numbers from your post on the convertor in your link
Windows calculator and another boxkey generator
And all give the same answer 23FFDE0

Now in your post the extra zero has been put at the back to make 8 digits
I thought the any extra zeros go to the front to make the 8 digits for the boxkey

Making the boxkey in the example 023FFDE0 rather than 23FFDE00

So my question is does it matter where the extra zeros go to make the 8 digits

    Thanks bob
