    Hi,

Please could anyone tell me if the above works with opendroid 5.0 on Zgemma Star H1

    thanks bob

    this is for commando images

you can edit your local regions in bouquets with remote
moving your region (ie bbc) to chosen bouquets
example below moving from others to entertainment

to move from others to entertainment

    menu button/services/bouquets editor
open entertainment bouquet press the add button (green button I think)
scoll down to channel wanted press ok then exit
the channel should be in the bouquet last in the list
highlite the channel yellow button and move to correct place in list
    press ok
the old channel highlite red button delete
    exit and save

    hope this may help bob

Ok so i've tried looking for the auto bouquets Ten Below nemtioned but can't see it anywhere on the box, Pressed blue and it's not there.. Also i tried rescanning then adding the channels for my reigon and deleted Adult channels and now the box will not automatically load the EPG any more. I jumps between the EPG load screen and the last channel viewed and finishes the scan in arround 57 seconds (Usually takes about 3 mins)
Is there something else i am missing?

    Commando 14.6 DM500 GetEPG Fix
Earlier today, B***B kindly went and busted LraiZer's GetEPG. How? By changing the special stream epg service "EPG Background Audio." from service_type="02" (radio) to service_type="82" (data)

The problem will become apparent after a run of AutoBouquets

I've come up with a quick and easy fix for this hassle. Just unrar the attached init file and pop it into /var/etc

NOTE: If you are already using a /var/etc/init custom file, then edit your file by appending my new lines to the end of it. This file does NOT need chmod treatment.

After running AutoBouquets, please reboot your box! (This will be automatic in our next release). If you are running AutoBouquets on a scheduled auto Timer, please add a Reboot timer for 20 minutes later.

    Work of PaphosAL

make sure you reboot after every update of bouquets

    hope this may help

    hi

    from Daddy bears post

    I have some questions tho:

    1) When i convert the bouquets to neutrino, where do i upload them to?
    2) How do i turn off autobouquets on commando 14.6 image?
    3) Will "getEPG" still update my EPG if i'm using sgnt flipflops bouquets?
    4) If i use sgnt flips flops bouquets on my dm500 and power the box off, will i lose the bouquets or are they stored on the box?

    1 ftp the bouquets,xml and services.xml files to Var/tuxbox/config/zapit

2 blue button / tuxbox commander there is a read me tut autobouquets.text

3 it does but you may have to move some channels from other bouquets that have the extended epg

4 no once bouquets and services.xmls are in Var/tuxbox/config/zapit they are saved you can ftp a copy back to a pc if you wish

    hope this may help

    hi

I have never used DCC to back up an image in that way
always use telnet then ftp from tmp folder on dreambox to pc
I even use the telnet and ftp part of DCC for the back up
so thanks again to master G for the information

using telnet copy or paste blue letters

To telnet, click START > RUN and type Telnet ip.address.of.dreambox
A command window will appear, enter username root and password dreambox.

To backup an image using Telnet
    · Telnet to the box and paste the following command:
    Code:
    cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img
    · FTP to the box and navigate to the /tmp
    · Here you will find the backup.img file.

    hope this also helps bob

    hi

one thing I do is using dream up flash erase several time before flashing a new image
I read that for every image flashed you should flash erase ie flashed 5 different images then flash erase 5 times
to remove anything left behind by any other image
    hope this may help

    hi

    firstly thanks for reply rikjaard-real

the reason I asked is I have just set up a internal card share to use at my caravan and home
but it is not connected to the internet I use a old router or a ethernet hub with home plugs

After setting up a server box up (box with card in)

I then connected a second box (client box) to the first box (server box) with a crossover cable

Gave both boxes static ip addresses

On the dreamboxes menu/set up/ communications set up

Ip Address (server box)192.168,xxx.xx1 (client box)192.168.xxx.xx2

Subnet mask (server box) 255.255.255.0 (client box) 255.255.255.0

Name server same as server boxes ip address

Default gateway same as server boxes ip address

    F line in server box F: share1 friend1

    C line in client box C : 192.168.xxx.xx1 12000 share1 friend1

If you wish to share with more than 2 boxes and no internet you can use a Ethernet hub or switch

Connected boxes to hub with set up as above the 3rd boxes ip ending in 3

If you wish to use a router as a Ethernet hub/switch
name server and default gateway will be that of the routers

    Add second f line F line in server box F: share2 friend2

    And seconed c line C : 192.168.xxx.xx1 12000 share2 friend2

This is how I connected to the internet to download cccam 2.13

    Via Modem

If you have a spare modem lying about, clone or original, you can use this to connect directly to the internet without any wireless devices or routers.

First of all, you will need to connect a PC or laptop to the modem to find out it's ip address. This ip address goes into the 'Default Gateway' section of the network settings page on your dreambox. Also enable DHCP on your dreambox. This is all that's needed.

once I had Downloaded cccam and cccam cfg file I backed up the image and flash to other boxes so other boxes have image with cccam in
I then put a static ip address as above ,default gateway(of server box or router) and edit the cccam cfg file for each box ie one server the others client boxes

    hope this may help

    hi

How to connect dream box using 3g, GPRS or HSPA

    1. Connect your USB dongle to computer and connect to the internet.
    2. goto run menu and type cmd or
    accessories Command Prompt/ Programs /start
    3. you will get dos command screen
    4. type ipconfig
    5. You will be given two ip settings, you might see on top 192.168.0.1 or some ip range.
    7. Connect your dream box to tv and connect your computer also, if you connect using directly, you should use cross cable to connect your computer.
    8. you should share your network connection, to do that
    network connections / settings
    9. start select your 3G or GPRS connection.
    10. click right mouse button and select properties and select advance tab on the dialog box and on the internet connection sharing tab select allow user to share my internet connection

click ok button and close it

Then go to dreambox on the set ip address as if you computer ip communication settings settings menu is 192.168.0.1 then select your ip as 192.168.0.2 then Set gateway as your computer ip “192.168.0.1” and name server also same ip rest of the things same.

    Save it and close

Wait till online comes and try to browse channels

    Hi

    I have found that

If using the openbox on a static ip address (DHCP to off)

The ip address of gateway ,dns primary and dns secondary must be that of your router

    Hope this may help bob

    Hi

Just to say have openbox working and clearing channel (though channels all over the place)
Box works fine connected to a router with ethernet cable and also through homeplugs

To find out which firmware is on reciver
Menu/tools/information this will show firmware version

    Is firmware version HDS2-11-01-02 : 0899CMT
Is the firmeare old or new and can the latest channel list be added

    Thanks bob
