I have just purchased a ChromeCast Audio and I'm trying to assign it with a Static I.P, I am now sure this is not possible after posting on Google Cast Help Forum.
However I followed the instructions posted by a member shown below in Red.
I have a Chromecast Audio (CCA) which I use with a HH5 in which I have assigned a static IP Address.
Assuming your CCA is up and running, go to the "Advanced Settings" page of the Home Hub admin, then click "Home Network". This will show you all the devices (wired and wireless), connected to your router.
You should see your CCA there, together with the IP Address assigned to it.
Click the name of the CCA.
Type the IP address you want to use in the appropriate box, then click "yes", where it says "Always use this IP Address".
Click "Apply", and you should be good to go. If you look at the "Home Network" page now, it should show the CCA as having the IP Address that you want.
However when it comes to the "Type the I.P. address you want"
It wont let me......The only difference between the settings from the guy who posted the very helpful reply above and mine is he has DHCP Server enabled and I don't.
Now here comes my question.
Would it mess my HH5 Router settings up i.e. port forward, static I.P's if I enabled DHCP temporarily to see if I can then input an I.P. of my choce.
Sorry for the long winded question.
Thanks in advance.
