If your card is paired to the official dish tv decoder it won`t work in any third party receiver..

I have a mate of mine over the pond, in his house he has a main box, and 5 older boxes, all with cards in, is it likely the old boxes would have paired the cards to them ? or is it a new it only the newer boxes
