i know u can manually add each iptv channel one-by-one through the web interaface on HTS Tvheadend, but can u import a entire m3u playlist instead of importing each channel one by one?
Also is it possible to group channels by favorites? I know there are tags 1-5 in the interafce, but i did for some channels and it still did not really put favorites in the list.
Import m3u playlist is possible. Please follow the steps below:
1. Go to this page and change the setting at "backup file type" from "text" to "m3u":

ok i downloaded the update.zip to my usb harddrive, plugged it in, i can see the content of my usb drive through file manager, but when i go into the settings, choose firmward, usb upgrade, it says please attach usb device? even though my drive is plugged in and i can see content through file manager.
Box firmware should be in zip file "update.zip" ,. Donot unzip it otherwise it will be corrupted .
to update by USB, it should be connected to USB2.0. And USB 3.0 does not always work.

yes that is correct, I put the update.zip file and tried both 2.0 and 3.0 port.
once i am back home today, i am going to try a different usb drive.
it's ok if there are other file's on the USB? Or does update.zip have to be the only one?

Ok I used a different USB drive and it worked. It went through its software update and everything.
I still don't see that Backup file time option. And one more thing, all my apps are gone :( I have to redo everything now..... It's like it did a factory reset and nothing happened.

k tried it, i still don't see that backup file option, and this time app my apps stayed, but they all crash on load :(
all my apps do not work, even after doing a factory reset, none of my apps work. I am going to go back to the previous update.zip that wiped everything and I have to re-install everything. I can't really use box for anything at its current state.
any ideas guys?
Not really sure what happened. The only thing to try now is to hold the reset button on the bottom of the box, the small white button. Then put full version of update.zip in USB before powering on. This will clear everything and should be good to start afresh.

1) How come my categoires are not working? If i cant do it inside the m3u list, how to i create categorires and/or fav's
2) Can't it accept a remote url like pastebin?
3) How can I change the aspect ratio for all channels?

mumu backend works will with simple iptv for sat to , or VDR would be a very easy to sort fav's
but tbh once set once if TVH would update the fregs of chanels they would auto sort ;)
