  • Hi
Hope somebody can help a noob in distress
Just installed debian 6 then oscam with pcsc
I want to connect to clients
I have an omnikey and webui works ok
From what I have read I have to set up a cccam protocol in oscam.conf, an omnikey reder in oscam.server and an account for client in oscam.user

The server dosent connect to clients and doesnt seem to see the reader

    my conf file

    from webui oscam status

    2012/02/09 21:42:17 9E791D0 r Cannot open device:

I scanned the ports in webui and omnikey is reconised

Ive reinstalled differnt builds of oscam and also tried it along with cccam isntalled
I know Im doing something wrong (or NOT doing something right)
But been at it for 4 days and need a helping hand from someone more experienced in these matters

Please help before I give up and just stick to cccam:waaaht:

  • One thing I dont understand is why I cant see clients logging onto server in webui
WEBUI users says they are offline, but I can ping the clients OK, and the cline in the cccam looks OK
    oscam server IP 192.168.0.40

  • hi
    I think I made progress
I installed pcsc as suggested by 10 below (thanks again) and the clients came on line. So Im guessing that pcsc (or similar) needs to be installed by linux as well as pcsc oscam drivers.
Now when I insert card I get this in webui status log
    9:44:00 Bxxxxxxx0 c user (0963&000000/10CE/62:xxxC): rejected group (120 ms) (of 0 avail 0) (no matching reader)
    9:44:09 Bxxxxxxx0 c user (0963&000000/10CE/62:xxxA): rejected group (120 ms) (of 0 avail 0) (no matching reader)

Both reader and user account are in same group (1)
Card works OK in other box so what can cause this?

  • Well I just sorted the problem, Im not a noob for nothing
The card was upside down in the reader :shame:

It was a new omnikey and Ive never used one before and I now know the chip side faces front of reader, not front side of card facing front of reader

Thanks again ten below, and al lthose who have helped me with their posts in the forum, I couldnt have done it without you
