BlackHole 1.7.2 is the most stable to date, you will need to upgrade the bootloader first before you flash this image, duo cfe Rev 3.0.

New compared to which version buddy ? There have been quite a few updates recently to this image.
I`ve not tried 1.7.2 yet, but every version keeps getting better and is worth updating too.

I changed the image on my Vu from 1.7.1 to 1.7.2 today, you dont notice a big difference straight away, but it is definately the most stable so far,ram is running about 82% and flash is just over the 60% mark.Flash expander is a really good add-on to use with BH.
The one thing you do benifit from when you upgrade or change your image is how to do it,keeps it fresh in your mind about backing up your box and re-loading all your settings.
Practice makes perfect!!

think i will take the plunge and have a mess about tomoz hehe

woz -remember a PERSONAL backup from new kernel 3.1.1 will work on the 1.7.2 so also saves you from having to redo all over again although mckee makes a fair point about practice makes perfect and in less time every time ;)
@ Mckee - you´re RAM + FLASH are way too high for this image sounds to me,,,must be remains of other images, plugins etc still there...use freeup memory or swapfile for the image
