swap service reference number with another

    ok dont know if this is in the correct section but i want to swap a service reference number of a channel and place it in another


    ie sky1hd on sly is say 1_0_19_F19_7F1_2_11A0000_0_0_0


    but the cable one is 1_0_19_A2C_1A_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0


    so want put thesky1hd into the cable


    reason being is it will pick up the epg from crossepg this will only be for the hd channels


    can it be done automatically or can it not be done at all i dont mind swapping the hd channels if it has to be done manually


    a know iptv can be assigned a service reference to pick the picon or epg up but im having trouble with the normal bouquets


    probably missing something somewhere any help greatly appreciated

    swap port 80 for the port in your OpenWebif plugin



    can also swap 127.0.0.1
    to your box ip
    192.168.x.xx




    and the other way round

    if your OpenWebif plugin has http authentication enable
    then you would need to add your root:password to the url

    ok quick question,last one honest


    is it not the other way round, the service id for the sly channel is first and it streams the cable one?? i presume thats how it works as in dreambox edit it comes up as a iptv channel

    then restart enigma2


    then select the sly1 channel from your Favourites (TV) channel list


    dont forget to change your OpenWebif port as in post 2

    Apologies if this is wrong context. I post with regards to EPG and not bouquets.


    Cross EPG Downloader (Signal download) does not EPG data from for cable from the stream. It only downloads from Rytec's servers and other host. If you must download the EPG from the internet, and data is wrong/missing (be it cable or otherwise ), best to inform Doglover on the PLI forum.


    Personally, I would enable the Virgin EPG option and zap daily to the Virgin Preview channel (or any other on the same frequency). This means you get data directly from the provider.

    the epg gets passed from the real sat channel to the stream
    so when you play the stream you see the epg

    whether it works or not with a cable channel as a stream

    thanks iv done all that i zap to the cable channel first in the morning, problem is i have the a2 and iv noticed with both sat and cable the epg with a mix of both slows the box down to a crawl to the point of a reboot or even deleting the epg.dat,bit of a pain,that why i was looking at using the epg data already there from crossepg for the cable channel


    may not be the answer i was looking for but i only need the hd channels to sort out that why i asked about using the service ref on a cable channel

    ok getting somewere,it pulled all the epg for that channel as sky but i got a timeout on pid for the cable channel it should be streaming


    as HDMU as a password would that have to be in there ??

    ok found out the streaming port was 8001 not 80


    so set that
    this is what i have found it picks up all the sky data for the cable channel ,great


    then i click on the channel and it shows it as recording blanks all the other channels out to grey as its only a single tuner then give me the sid not found message


    so getting there
