How to convert E2 db to U4 db

    The newest Channel editor Accepts E2 db and generate U4 db to be imported:

    Copy tvdata.tar.gz file to your default folder where you have U4 channel editor
    You must have tvdata file in your working folder. Channel Editor will load tvdata file to convert Engma2 DB to TVH data file. Channel editor program should locate same parent folder on tvdata folder
    1.Execute U4 Channel Editor.

    2. Select “Load E2 DB” in File Menu.

    3. Select file “lamedb” file.
    Please put other E2 files on same folder with “lamedb” file.
    Channel Editor will load “Group list” from bouquets.tv file together.

    4. After loading channels from E2 DB, you can edit channels on program.

    5. To set DiSEqC switch and LNB for Satellites, Select Sat/Switch Configure button.
    And edit switch option for channels.

    6. To save tvdata.tar.gz, Select menu and archive to tvdata.targ.gz button.
    Then you can save file to tvdata.tar.
    After saving tvdata.tar.gz file, and load on the box.

    where is tvdata.tar.gz located on the U4 quad ?

    Honcho, import first from the receiver the channel list, then copy the file tvdata.tar.gz in the same directory of U4channeledit.exe, then copy the same file and rename to tvdata_basic.tar.gz, then decompress the file tvdata.tar.gz using 7zip you will get the file tvdata.tar...then decompress the content of this file to a directory called tvdata, int the same directory of U4channeledit...
    now you can load e2 channel list..but be carefull take more time...i'm using a z8500 processor and takes time.

    ps.-You will find the tvdata file on you usb attached to the U4quad after do a backup channels data under setup/system/backup eontv menu

    wont convert the E2 file imports the chans ect ect but the fav's stay same not as E2 file is just says as fav1 fav2 fav3 :(

    my satellite system 12 LNB multifocus .
    no satellites names does not show or again enigma2 favorite channels is not seen.







    Your pictures: the names in satellite can not see .. How we will choose the DiSEqC ?? :-))))
    i think U4 quad only for one satellite
