Ubuntu Server oscam

    after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (GNU / Linux 4.4.0-38-generic x86_64) on my perfectly working server, Oscam no longer works.


    Oscam start, I have access to WebIf, I see users connected but not online


    What has changed?
    how do I fix?

    I had a similar experience when I installed 16.04.1.
    Oscam would start, show everyone offline then would stop.
    I traced it back to not installing all the system requirements.
    I needed to select both of the options in this screen below , (standard system utilities is selected by default , I made the mistake of de-selecting it first time round)
    Its been running fine for me for the past few days.

    Your problem may be different though.

    It's one of the steps when your initially installing ubuntu.
    Not sure how to install it on an existing installation.

    You could try the "apt-get install" route but haven't tried it myself.
    I just started from scratch when I had my issue.
