I tried to do post five and it didn't work after a restart. I tried to re install the fix but even after it says installed the app isn't there. I dropped it to the tmp folder but it won't install properly. Do I need to remove the older version. How do you do that. Tried opkg update and install too didn't work
New py plugin worked lovely thanks!!
the comment was posted on the cooltv forum.
that was a bad joke, he is very alive, last seen on august 2016, here (see last post and followings):

Does anybody have a workaround to make the deb version work again ?
ddinc here is the latest version.
thanks a lot.
But:when I try to install I get log1.
vers 730 stays stubbornly on the installed list, but not anymore on the box
apt-get autoremove $paketname brings log 2
FTP to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions and delete the CoolTVGuide folder..
Restart enigma2, then try to install the latest version..
tried already, but there is no cooltvguide file (:

managed to remove the older vers. and installed your file.
now I get frezer-like before- with the following crash report
Hi Guys
I was always getting the CoolTVGuide upgrade message after I had changed channel, but I just closed this and it wasn't a problem. This morning it goes to the upgrade message and I can't see EPG. I've tried various methods to fix and none of them see to have worked...
1) Copied the plugin.py and deleted plugin.pyo and restarted Enigma
2) Removed the CoolTVGuide Extension directory and tried to install both packages above (not at the same time) and still no joy.
What happens when I select CoolTVGuide is that it kind of flashes up the EPG and then just closes immediately. If I hold the EPG button and select the CoolTVGuide (or any other CoolTV option) it does the same, but I can see the programme data is in there. It's like there is something in the script forcing the EPG to open and close
Any ideas? I just want to get this fixed as I setup the same box for my parents and I know they are going to moan at me until I fix it for them
Thanks
I've just had exactly the same thing. I've re-flashed my box and still getting the same.
there is a new update knocking about
http://linuxsat-support.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=69186&d=1481451808
I get the following error.....
root@vusolo2:~# opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
Package enigma2-plugin-extensions-cooltvguide-snp-update-fix is already installed on root.
There is no CoolTVGuide folder under - /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions
i instailed the new ver from the plugins on my zgemma box with a atv image and it works fine it might be worth a try
Cheers for the files - tried it and still the sam - so annoying. I can see it's working and the data is there, but it flashes up and goes away within a split second.
I was dreading re-imaging the box, but I think I MAY resort to that, maybe wait and see if anyone has any other suggestions. I mean, it's so close to being fixed and I would be annoyed if I re-imaged and it still had the same issue.
Had the same problem as you thebesh.
opkg list-installed | grep cool
opkg remove -force-space <package-name>
rm /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide
reboot
ftp the 7.6 file posted here to the tmp folder on the box
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/<package name>
Worked for me at least.
installed the ipk file on my Solo2 and so far Cool TV Guide is working just fine.
Thanks!
