Before adding a new urlparser.py you must delete the original and urlparser.pyo, then reboot you box.
If using python 3 7.3 images dont update as you will lose e2iplayer. It is still in the extensions folder but cant be opened because of a new system file avswitch in python components folder which has updated and change something ? pic shows message it happens on openatv and pure2 so might happen on other images that can update !
For which image ( py2 , py3 ) is this python 3.7.3 ? How I know , the latest version of python for py3 is 3.11.2 .
Also Mario is fixed "something" about eAVSwitch ( now is iAVSwitch ) , but I don't have this issue as you. This fix it was before two weeks
but only in Mario repo.

stuso147 - have you tried changing the iptvplayer.py ? it was changed due to issues with avswitch.

I've done another test to see if E2iPlayer can load .m3u files on my box as it used to do
the first days tested. I've created a .m3u file with a url for a local stream from VLC
Player on my PC. Well, it doesn't work either, the stream doesn't start - but it works
perfectly with Media Player. What is the problem here? This is driving me nuts...
Another thing to mention is that I deleted the settings of this plugin in the Settings
file, after having uninstalled it, deleted the IPTVCache folder, rebooted, but when
reinstalled again, the settings were there intact... how is this possible? There must
be some other settings file somewhere being restored by OpenATV...
After uninstalling e2iplayer, it seems that the previous settings remain somewhere, but only if you install the same repo and version.
