How do I open my Red Sty card by using oscam on my VU duo2 box

    I have been trying to open my red Sty card by using Oscam on my Vu Duo 2 box with the latest VTi image, despite trying all the permutations I am still having no luck, the best I have achieved is the channel showing auto text at the bottom of the screen with no picture. Previously I had been using ccam 2.3.0 with no problem, this stopped working recently and I was advised to switch to Oscam but I am finding it very difficult to even get off the starting blocks.


    Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your reply, could you clarify what log you want me to post and where do I obtain the log, as I am confused.


    To date I have followed the advice given / found but I am still stuck, with cccam 2.3.0 it could not of been any easier, however, with Oscam it is a whole new ball game .


    I have listed below the files that I have in my etc/tuxbox/config file.


    I would appreciate if you could offer any further advice / guidance.

    All FTA channels are fine but not Sty channels, card works fine in my Sty box.


    Could you advise me how I obtain the live log so I can post it.

    Thank you again for your help, I have opened openwebif as previously advised, but I am unable to locate the live log, once again any advise / guidance would be appreciated. In an attempt to find a solution I flashed my box with openspa , which is an image I often use, however, once again despite using the correct oscam and config files the card is not opening.


    Due to pressure (LOL) I have now gone back to my Sty box and can only hope that this will only be temporary as I am a great fan of the VU Duo2 box.

    It's the oscam webif you need to view, you may be viewing the receivers openwebif which is entirely different.
    Enter your ip of your receiver into a browser followed by your oscam's webif port (this can be found in your oscam.conf file, in webif entry, http port, normally 8888 unless you've changed it), eg:
    192.168.x.x:8888
    You then may be asked for user/password combination (this is also in your oscam.config file, in the webif section, http user/pwd)
    When oscam webif opens, there will be a tab at top of the page "live log", click on it then on your receiver, try a few encrypted channels, this will generate more entries into the log, copy it and post it up, (delete sensitive info from it, eg card serial numbers etc).

    Add the numbers / letters to boxid = (look in oscam.server for this value).


    Show us the contents of oscam.server and oscam.user.


    Show us another oscam log from startup and after viewing premium channels.

    Just a bit of feed back for everyone and to thank those members who gave assistance to me. Out of frustration, I flashed my box with the blackhole image and loaded the Oscam file via DCC the config files were in the right place, once entered the boxcode and started the oscam, my card opened immediately. The moral of the story is don't give up but I am still unclear as to why Oscam would not work on either Openspa or VTi images.
